So here are all my still unanswered emails with dates. I called twice before using this email system and while the employees that work the phones were competent and supportive, the organization of this business just isn't there. I have sent my medical faxes through months ago, multiple times (the reason I called a few times to start). My condition makes tasks like this difficult to do, and these are the people that are supposed to be helping with that - not adding to the problem! I would recommend a different service if you value communication.

I went to Klinic for a walk in. Lots of sketchy people in the waiting room. The doctor I saw was nice, but I would never ever go back to Klinic. It’s not a safe place for women and I felt very scared in the waiting room. There should be security guards but I didn’t see any.

I am feeling really let down by the Klinic counselling services. I signed up for intake on Feb 6th 2023, I was told the EVOLVE program or trauma counselling would work for me so I was enrolled for EVOLVE (shorter waitlist).

My first appointment was just over a year later (March 26, 2024). Although my counsellor was very kind, she was consistently unreliable (missed appointments, late, mixed up dates, I usually had to follow up with her to send resources she said she would get me, etc). I understand stuff happens but it was happening frequently enough that I backed out of services, the unreliability was causing too much stress. She even told me she would send me a transfer form when I said we weren't a good fit and that was never sent either.

At the end of Sept 2024, when I had mentioned how upset I was at the front counter, the counselling lead/manager called me to hear me out about my experience and said the took it seriously, valued my feedback and said they would put me back on the waitlist at the top so I would get the next available counsellor.

Maybe there hasn't been one available but it has been 8 months with no word. I know this is likely due to a lack of staffing because of funding but the EVOLVE program still deals with vulnerable people who have a history of experiences that tell them they don't matter. This feels like another validation of that negative sentiment instead of help.

The staff are great. If you can get a hold of them! You can call as soon as they open or a very random low business part of the day and they still hit you with the damn robotic voice of “sorry, we have more calls than usual today” BULLCRAP! I legit just want to book an appointment and I have to jump through hoop of automated hoop! LET ME SPEAK TO A PERSON

The front desk staff were very helpful today when I hadn't made it in time for the STI-clinic registration. I was told to wait in case they had am opening and there was. Thank you for having me wait!
The STI-clinic can only take in so many clients, so do get there in time for the 3:15pm registration start time. Also, be prepared to wait as it is a small clinic and everybody's doing their best.

That being said – to the loudmouthed male swearing at the nurses today about his 3-hour wait time.. all clients were waiting at least an hour or so to be seen. I was there for a total of 4 hours and not once did I complain nor swear. Depending on what you're at the STI-clinic for, the registration sheet will tell you the approximate appointment length which leads to a longer wait time. You want to shorten your wait time?! SAFEST SEX IS NO SEX. Plain & simple. Sex comes with consequences and sometimes that means having to wait 3 hours at a STI-clinic.

The nurses handled the harassment with composure and were polite in every single interaction with everybody. However, there should be security to handle such situations.

I'm happy to see that the staff at Klinic are making changes and receiving compensations for their trouble. Does anyone know when the patients of Klinic will be compensated for the distress and tortures incurred?

Klinic offers some really vital services, but lately I have become increasingly frustrated by how hard it is to reach them via phone. It often doesn’t even ring or put you on hold, it just gives you a beeping tone that never connects you.
