I have been sending my daughter to Kumon Sherwood Park - Central for almost two years. Kumon has been such a great experience for us. Joyce and the people that work with Joyce are incredible. Joyce is so nice and very easy to talk with and she is also passionate about her students progress. I would say that Kumon is one of the best ways for kids to learn new concepts or to catch up on areas that they might have fallen behind on. The Kumon program is very comprehensive. I can see a real change in my daughter’s math ability, accuracy and speed. Thank you Kumon!!!! And thank you Joyce!!!!!!

I put my son in Kumon in the spring of his Grade 3 year. He was the last kid in his class to learn his alphabet, he was below grade level in reading and reading comprehension for all of first and second grade. By grade three, I was concerned that his lack of reading skills would start to hinder him in other subjects. I talked with a few friends about different tutoring programs. They seemed extremely expensive or when I met with the instructors, they seemed vague in HOW they could help my son. When I met with Joyce from Kumon she showed me a plan, a fee guide that didn't hurt to swallow and was very clear on how the program worked. I enrolled my son immediately.

Since starting Kumon, my son's reading comprehension tests went from 20-30% to 80-90% and by the end of the school year his overall grade in Language Arts rose from 2/5 to 3/5. Although his reading level is just now approaching grade level, his confidence has grown. New reading and language concepts are a snap for him because he has had the chance to practice them at Kumon. Joyce is very encouraging and her staff is helpful. It's a terrific program and I recommend it to anyone seeking improvement in math and reading, no matter what level they are starting from.

I have known Joyce for many years since my kid started Kumon when he was in K. She is such a great teacher and manages Sherwood Park Center so well. My son has finished all levels of math and reading there. Currently he works for Joyce as a PT tutor. I highly recommend Sherwood Park Kumon Center to every parent but keep in mind Kumon is a long term program that is focused on enrichment. Give your child more time and patience in Kumon. You will see the big improvement from your kids.

We are big fans of Kumon Math and Reading Centre in Sherwood Park with Joyce Coffey and her team. I always feel so thankful after walking out of the Centre with my son...his confidence level in math and reading has gone leaps and bounds. It's my desire to have my son ahead of the curve and grade level he is in...and Kumon is helping us reach our short term goals every week. We have been sending our boys to Kumon Sherwood Dr. location since they were very young. Mrs. Coffey is an incredibly kind / generous / and caring mentor. She is devoted to her students, their well being and academic excellence. She knows every student's progress by heart and works with parents to optimize positive outcomes and goals. My kids are substantially ahead of their peers and it is all because of Kumon and a very caring mentor running the centre. I would like to thank Joyce and all of the staff at Kumon Central in Sherwood Park. My daughter is currently in grade 7 and was not the best student in math in the past but was getting passing marks so we didn't think a great deal about it. In the spring of 2019 we noticed that her struggling increased greatly and she failed her 6th grade provincial exam. We decided to have her assessed at Kumon and learned that she was sitting at a grade 2-3 skill level. We were so shocked and disappointed with the education system for never letting us know after multiple parent teacher interviews over multiple years.
My daughter has put in so much hard work and with the guidance of the team at Kumon, she has been able to properly learn 4 to 5 years worth of math skills and I am so happy that after just 1 year of going to Kumon, my daughter is completely caught up and excelling in her math classes. I am so grateful to Joyce and her team.
The price tag was a little high for but so worth it to get my daughter the help she needed before it became an even bigger problem. She has learned the skills that will eventually help her get into what ever career/higher learning program she chooses.
