Just completed a very informative and enjoyable SVOP training course with Greig Williams - he's a great instructor and an excellent skipper with decades of experience... with provide lots of interesting and educational stories. Great learning props and presentation aids also. I learned a lot.

In the fall of 2017, I completed the SVOP, MED A3 and ROC-M courses taught by Greig Williams of Land's End Marine Training. The courses I took were offered in the Gibsons location. At the time, I was relatively new to operating boats in a marine environment. By the time I completed the courses I had a strong understanding of my obligations to safely captain a small boat commercially. As well, I learned how to responsibly use a marine radio for general communications and emergency situations. In all aspects of the training, Greig shared past experiences to helped instil the seriousness of the course content being presented. The printed resources for each of the courses were very comprehensive and I still refer to them from time to time to refresh my knowledge. The training has opened up a variety of commercial boating opportunities for me that I have felt very prepared to handle safely. I highly recommend taking these courses with Land's End Marine Training.

There is no training centre in the Semiahmoo Shopping Mall. I have looked for this business many times and I finally telephoned their number on the website, today and found a Gibsons Landing call display. Their website also shows they give their training in the Quadrant Marine Institute on Granville Island, BC. In a community hall near Powell River, BC and a community church in Gibsons, BC, and nothing in White Rock or South Surrey. Sorry, this business doesn't exist in the Semiahmoo Mall and the pin is very misleading.
