I've been dancing with Laya Bhava Dance Academy since I was 4 years old, and over the course of 26 amazing years, it's been an unforgettable journey. Kirupa Teacher and Sahana Akka have not only taught me the ancient art form of Bharathanatyam but have made sure every aspect, from technique to facial expressions, was perfect. They've instilled my passion for Bharathanatyam and I am eternally grateful. I highly recommend Laya Bhava Dance Academy – you can introduce your little ones as early as 3 or 4, and it's a decision you'll cherish forever!

The teacher is very passionate about her craft, and ensures that students get the best quality learning experience. Laya Bhava Dance Academy is a place where my 12 year daughter not only learns dance. In the academy the interaction with the teacher & other students offers an opportunity for her social skills. Through dance she learns to express herself emotionally. We are very happy that our daughter attends the dance academy where they believe in excellence.

Great teacher. Very knowledgeable. Our daughter is learning for the past 5 years from Kirupa teacher, Laya bhava dance academy. Hello 🙂 I really love this dance class/school! Teacher Kiru Ji is very talented and helpful. She is extremely well versed in all of the complexities of the dance and extends her compassion to her students. I’ve always wanted to learn Bharatnatyam and her class is the best way to do that. The lessons start out simply and build in complexity to help the beginner. 10/10

I'm an adult student of Guru Smt. Kirupanithy Ratneswaran garu. Blessed to have such a graceful, energetic, inspiring professional dancer as my Guru. Kirupa teacher not only focuses on teaching the art form, but also respects the student's pace and time, by working around their physical limitations. The classes are fun and knowledgeable. Thanks to Kirupa teacher for reiterating that age is just a number and it is never too late to start learning an art form. Happy dancing !!

I am an adult student and started in Oct 2021; Laya bhava provides a very welcoming atmosphere to learn this beautiful craft. The teacher is dedicated and willing to put in the time to help you with learning the steps. The students also help each other to make sure no one is left behind or feeling unsure. Even during covid lockdown, laya bhava had very interactive classes online to help continue on your journey. I’m happy to continue being part of this community.
