I had a great experience with this school! I loved all of the instructors! Their all very encouraging, and they help you so much! I'll definitely miss all of them, but I'll miss Ernie the most! He was my favorite! ❤️ I recommend going to Lokken College if you are thinking of going for your GED or the profession you'd like to get into! Good luck on everything everyone!

5 Stars because this school helped me with getting myself back on my feet after being a stay at home mom for 4 years! The instructors are very understanding & helpful and do their best to get you to the end of your goals! Lokken has helped me so much, the instructors have been very understanding of any situation and have been very patient with me. I’ve recommended a lot of my friends and family to go Lokken because there is a lot of opportunities from the courses they offer. This was my second time going back and it was a lot different this time being online but I feel like it was more easier for me this time around and I’m so glad there’s an option to get ur GED because that was something I needed to get back into school. Loved my experience here!

Attending Lokken College has been a great experience! The programs they have available are great for anyone, no matter the age or your work history. The instructors and everyone else have been great and very helpful. I recommend anyone who wants to pursue their career in a different field to try Lokken. I have no regrets and I wish I would've started sooner. The program didn't take long and whether the situation they were there to help. Great job to everyone at Lokken college! You guys are great! After attending Lokken, I can confidently say from the beginning to end, the process was easier said than done. Firstly, just signing up for the program is a difficult task! Not to mention, a year ago my boyfriend signed up to attended Lokken, and funding recognized me as a spouse on his funding application so in turn, he received more funding. Though when I structured my funding application the exact same way involving my boyfriend, I was essentially ignored and received funding as a single woman.

Though once I was finally placed in the learners program, nothing was properly explained to me as a learner. For example, as a learner, each week you’re given “assignments” that must be completed, as one would expect. Though the “assignments” are just optional reading material that you can read for the respective class if you so choose. So essentially, they’re not actually assignments or school work. And when I asked my instructors about this, my instructor basically said, “Oh just turn them in”. Not to mention how overwhelming it is when none of this is explained to you at the beginning of the program, and you’re expected to just know this from the start.

Along side this, as a learner, you’re expected to attend a class everyday called “CPM”. Essentially these classes are a glorified version where basic common knowledge and common sense are explained to you for over an hour. Not to mention, if you’re late or miss these classes it’s marked on your attendance. And there were multiple occasions where the wrong links to said classes were given to learners, or the link to these classes were given out late.

Once it came down to taking my exams for my GED, there weren’t many, or at all, any accommodations for me since I live an hour away from Edmonton.

Though with that being said, I did enjoy my time at Lokken and am grateful for the opportunity to have been allowed to attend. The instructors are very passionate and genuine towards learners, and strive to see learners achieve their goals. It was nice having my instructor at my side every step of the way encouraging me to succeed.

This is my genuine and honest review based on my time at Lokken College. I hope this review helps those planning to attend Lokken, but as well help Lokken with future learners in areas I struggled with moving forward.

Hello, My name is Eunice. I'm new to Canada and I thank the heavens I came across Lokken, for I can never write my success story without mentioning this college I hold so dear to me(Lokken).
When I just arrived and job hunting, I knew I was lacking something but couldn't tell what. I met the professionals and built a powerful resume but I still couldn't feel complete.
When applying for jobs I felt it myself that I wasn't apt. Then the fear of not doing my job well (I have a long time experience in Administrative Duties).
A friend proposed Lokken to us and told me I could enroll and do Career development, I readily accepted. I was just looking for ways to feel that completeness I felt lacking. I enrolled and started on the start date.
After my very first class of the first day I knew that's where I belong, at Lokken College. From the very first day I felt different. I felt committed and attached without someone compelling me to.
The Career Path Management (CPM) sessions (which covers every aspect of being a better employee),
The Employment Readiness sessions (dealing on what employers and potential employers look for in a candidate or employee),
Filling the Employer Tracker (Helps learners in understanding job postings),
Clocking in at 8:30 for the am and 12:00 for the pm (cultivating promptness and time consciousness) and the numerous assignments, all got me polished and apt for the job market.
The instructors are all so great and I appreciate them all. For my personal Instructor, I got a wonderful lady with the heart of a mom, sister and a guardian angel, Marainne who helped me sail through my course hitch free. She will never stop encouraging me and aligning me on my own goal plan. Thank you so much Marianne.
I finally got that thing that I felt lacking, It is my CONFIDENCE. I now have my confidence and I’m confident I’m going to make it through the job market and to a good job where I’ll climb my career ladder with confidence all thanks to Lokken College.
