This was our very first experience at family camp (as adults). I didn't know what to expect going into it. The lodging and bathrooms were typical camp style and what I expected. The staff, leaders, Pastor,
food and effort put into the whole weekend surpassed all of my expectations!! Everything was so well organized, there was plenty of activities and I really enjoyed all of the testimonies and chapel time 🙂 Best of all were the young people who volunteer there, the love of Jesus was so present in their lives that they would break out in song while running activities. We will definitely be back! Thank you for the excellent experience. God bless ♡

Update we have since attended a fall family camp somewhere else and everyone agrees that this one was way better. We can't wait to register for 2020 😀

I grew up going to Lone Prairie Camp as both a camper and staff, so it has a special place in my heart. I was able to volunteer for a week last summer after many years away and had a wonderful experience! The staff were kind, caring and earnest, the campers had tons of fun and the love and presence of Jesus was so clear to see. One of the campers in the cabin I was with had such a good time that they didn't want to go home at the end of the week! It was amazing to see the camp I know and love continue to be a place of full of joy, laughter and fond memories for the next generation.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This camp is not only disgusting but also money greedy. You would think leeching this much money off campers and staff members would mean better facilities, but it definitely does not. People who are not directly friends with the director Andrew are mistreated and he is the most insufferable person here. He is everything wrong with summer camps today. Not only is he rude, he is mean to the kids and staff. He is unwilling to make any exceptions and compromises towards anyone.

Please see my son's review from last year. Any parent should take caution. The entire LPC board is aware of this as well and is in full support of the camp director who was made aware of this treatment of my son. No one was disciplined and business carried on as usual. Very sad that this camp has compromised it's values and I will never trust them with any of my kids. Queue the owner responding to this review saying "I'm sorry you feel that way" or "I'm sorry they had a bad experience." They are condescending and don't take responsibility for their actions.

"dale was always on his phone when in the cabin and we barely did devotions but when we did it he only asked his buddys or friends i guess and he would wait to 5 minutes before curfew and then do it and then we couldnt do it also one night him david and maybe one more kid went into the crocodiles cabin and were awake in there for a long time laughing and i kept waking up to it also when it was beach day i threw a water balloon at him as a joke and he decided to chase me and grab me by my neck and stomp on my stomach and say no tuck and then he also swore and talked about weird stuff in the cabing and he mostly talked about it with david and also when i wanted water and i asked him for some he would usually tell me to go ask a different staff member."

My son had a fantastic time! This was his first time at Lone Prairie Camp. He has attended two other camps in the past, but something was just not the right fit. My impressions when first pulling up, was that it was a clean facility and they had lots of councillors around to answer questions and even guided us to his cabin and through the check-in process. Pickup was just as welcoming.
My son said this was by far the best camp he has gone to yet. He is looking forward to next summer already!

My son, a first time camper, went into a new camp environment, by himself, and had such an amazing time, it surpassed my wife’s and my expectations! There were many tears on the way home because he had such a good time. He’s going again this year and bringing his friends. Thanks Lone Prarie!
