If there were a minus rating available, I'd give one. After getting about a minute's worth of verbal instructions on how to operate a power washer, I get the machine home and it wouldn't start. I phoned Low Cost to ask what I was doing wrong, or if I had the switches in the right configuration, but I got a recording that said Low Cost was closed for the holidays! So, I reload the power washer back in car, drive back to Low Cost, tell them I had to drive back with the machine because I got a phone recording, and the guy at the counter checks the phone and says, "Oh, maybe it's because we have 38 unanswered phone messages." So there's that.
I say to the boss, maybe you might consider writing up instructions you can give customers on how to operate the machine, and the boss says thanks for the suggestion but it's the most basic motor -- as if to say anybody should be capable of operating one. So, you know, no. Instead, I get a nice young guy at the counter to write out the instructions for me -- which positions the switches should be in to get it started -- and we load up the power washer and I drive it back home.
First pull on the starting cord and the cord breaks. I load up the power washer in the car again, and drive back to Low Cost. So far, I've wasted an hour driving back and forth, and the boss says they'll start charging me at a new start time rather than the old one -- not comping me for my trouble of having to drive back to Low Cost twice -- and I get another power washer, which is loaded into my car and which, I discover when I get home, has leaked gasoline into my car's interior.
For all this, I am charged $116.98, which does not include the gas I spent on driving back and forth to Low Cost, the cost of the gas to refill the power washer before returning it, and, lastly, my time.
Never. Again.

If you need any gardening machines, this is the place to go to!
Kieran was so outstanding! He was so helpful...bringing a heavy rototiller to my backyard. Then he gave me a demo (it was my 1st time using a rototiller) so I understood how to operate it properly. He returned on time at the end of the day. If you live in Ladner or Tsawassen, this is the best choice to rent machines. I had an UGLY experience with Double R rentals in Ladner. Low Cost is far and above compared to the twits/red-neck Yahoos at Double R rentals (especially if you're a female)! THANKS Kieran!!!

One of my gaskets went on a pressure washer and decided to drop by Low Cost Equipment for some advice on how to replace it. He went in the back and found a gasket which was the right size and sent me on my way with a smile.

I recently had my mower serviced here - totally fantastic service from start to finish. It’s clear that they take pride in their work and they do whatever they have to in order to complete the job and please the customer. In our case, this amounted to them having to machine an existing part to work for our mower. Sam and his team are focused on the customer and doing a great job, all at very reasonable prices. I will recommend them, highly, to friends and neighbours.
We need to support our local businesses to ensure that they are here for us when we need them!

Prompt service and friendly staff. We were in need of a dehumidifier and were given a quote for a daily and weekly rental in a reasonable time via email. When I arrived the associate had everything ready for me to sign. They helped me load it into the back of my SUV and away I went. Upon my return a week later; all I had to do was okay the invoice and drop off the unit. Really appreciated the efficiency in getting in and out. Pricing is reasonable and the unit did a marvelous job. Would use again and recommend them no problem.
