I highly recommend MaKami College. Studying here has been an incredible experience. The entire staff has been wonderful, especially my instructors from day one—Emma, Spencer, Royce, Ericka, Lisa, Michelle, Jeremy, Shaun, and the rest of the faculty. They are genuinely supportive and guide you every step of the way. I'm truly grateful for my time here!

It was the best decision of my life to join the Massage Therapy program at Makami. Royce & Emma were the most amazing teachers. All of the staff are so kind, knowledgeable, and passionate. I cannot recommend this school enough! 🙂

The teachers at Makami College are great and they will do everything to help you succeed. That being said, management is a different story. On the second semester they will take 2,500 from your student grant (your money) from the NSLS without your knowledge and if you find out and complain about it they make up excuses and basically give you the run around. Makami is a great massage school without the management money grabber and don’t give me the “ We are sorry” bullshit

Makami collage is a scam. They advertise for cheap message and buy the cards in bulk for future. After buying you will not get any appointment. Also the student are just learners not great waste of money.
Spoke to Elaine about refund and she said John Jordjevic will call back . No body called it's few days now. And when I tried calling last few day reception said they are busy, In meeting or left for the day.
Not a reputed place to learn.

Great services provided by the student massage clinic, it is well organized, well run, most of the time it's been timely. Most recently had a great student who was super communicative and helpful for back discomfort.

This school is a scam. At least the online programs. They kicked me out of school when I was hospitalized and had a legitimate doctors note. They didn’t even tell me I was kicked out and now I still have to pay for the student loan for the whole year of schooling I never took thanks to these a holes I’m in debt and I don’t have a degree.

This is my second time being enrolled in a Makami College program. The new campus in the Bonnie Doon Mall is a lot better then the old Capilano Mall location. Although the communication and the organization of the school and its staff still needs work. Anyone you email will take anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks to get back to you and it takes them a while to find lost paperwork etc. . Also the faculty staff still are very clique like and some of them are arrogant and verge on emotionally abusive if you don't do what they want you to do(ignore you in class and make fun of your answers to questions or refuse to answer your questions). I expect this may have something to do with low pay and high work expectations. Some of my instructors you can tell have not gone over the full materials that they teach you. If you do not get along with an instructor then their group of colleagues generally treat you the same. I personally find this unacceptable because as a student I pay a very large tuition to be able to learn in an environment conductive to learning. When you go to class and you feel like you are not welcome you really loathe attending. Other than a few of these social issues, the school program Moodle is really great and their troubleshooting staff are spot on when you send them problems you encountered in Moodle. The cleaning staff is also really awesome, and I never worry about sanitation because the building is sparkling clean! I wish as a student I could get in for massages, but they don't prioritize massages for students and only the public. The college has always prioritized making money above anything else it seems and I am always receiving junk mail on how to refer family and friends to the program. Maybe for certain programs I would, but not likely for the one I am currently enrolled in due to my treatment by certain staff. I would say there are also really great other staff that are very supportive and you can tell these staff really care about student success!
