I moved across the country to train full time at this gym to pursue my boxing career. I have trained at countless gyms over 11 years and none of them even compare. Coach Matt is the first coach I met that is just as if not more passionate than I am about boxing and is incredibly dedicated to his gym, the guy got surgery and still showed up to teach all of his classes the same day. Also I just read some reviews of people saying it was too crammed because the class sizes were too big (which to me is a good sign) but I just wanted to say that he just expanded his gym to accomodate more space for the members so that is no longer an issue.

Good spot for beginners to learn fundamentals. However the space is small and you're often learning with smaller children.

I have been going for a few months now and I love it. The owner/head coach Matt is always respectful but not afraid to challenge us to do better. All the staff is great.

The gym is clean, the other classmates are friendly, and there is enough activities/routines to keep it interesting.

Thank you Marshall boxing for the great lessons and exercise!

I’m 37 and have been training boxing at various gyms around Edmonton and other cities as well for over 10 years. When Matt opened his own club a few years ago I was excited to switch gyms because Matt (The owner and head coach at Marshall) was my favourite coach at panthers way back in the day when I first started boxing. Matt’s been around the Edmonton boxing scene forever and really knows his stuff. I’ve now been training at the current Marshall club off and on for the last 2-3 years and it’s great. What I really like about it besides Matt’s high level of coaching and the structure to his workouts is the community and team vibe he has built around his club. Anyone who walks through the doors ready to work and learn is welcomed regardless of age, size, ability, sex or experience. We all train hard together weather the goal is to compete or just to loose a few pounds and have fun. I’m happy to have found Marshall boxing. Two thumbs up from me.

What an outstanding boxing club and group of guys, Matt not only runs a gym that breeds great boxers but also great individuals. They pushed the importance of school attendance and that you cannot train unless you put that first. As parents that has helped us drastically. Our son does not want to miss out on boxing so he never misses school. I cannot express how impressed we are in choosing marshall gym. 3 years in, i cant imagine anywhere better. The price is more than reasonable and we would absolutely pay more if the price increased we would understand. Thanks again guys.

Great gym! Matt is an exceptional coach, regardless of skill level or background. He always gets the best out of you. The training is hard, but he is a safety first boxing coach and never puts you in situations you can't handle. Always looks out for his fighters and anybody who comes into the gym to train. Very respectful guy.

My son got into boxing after not getting enough time on the pitch on his soccer team.
He found Matt and his new friends and is thriving. He's 15 and has dropped 25 lbs. he's fighting now his second fight and feels amazing and looks great.
Great place. Getting a bit tight though.
Great people!
