I feel deeply sad that things had to go this way. With two kids studying in MH, I have stayed long enough in this community to see and to hear what happened these years. I heard about the racist accusation on the principle and the school from my doctor friends and neighbours. They got emails from the family, and all came to me for truth. Seriously, I don't know more details.....

I went through the whole report, and tried to recall any memory relevant, which made me even more frustrated. Is it necessary to go this way? The answer to me is still no. Racism is a big word, if Mr. Anderson is racist, then I must be one too, and all my friends in this city must be too. I am sorry to say that, but we are all from different cultures and we are all proud to be part of our own bubbles and we are constantly too critical at each other. But,
I still believe in humanity. Every time people on my street argued with each other over the children's behaviours, which is a vibrant neighbourhood with people from different places, I keep in mind that none of our children is perfect, none of the parents is perfect, but we could handle things together as mature grow ups. Bad communications could lead to serious consequences, like this case. Should MH and the family work on communication skills, definitely yes to me. After all, kids are our priority.

But I still can't deny Mr. Anderson's hardworking on boosting a multi-culture environment, and on providing a colourful school life for everybody in MH these years. I don't have many chances to talk with him, but he is a decent person, and dedicated school head. The whole school went through great renovations these years, and my kids couldn't be happier to learn knowledge and play with their friends there. And, the International Day is always a great joy for my kids and me to show off the Chinese element, meet new families and reunite with old friends.

I transferred my kid from public school to MH because its safe and friendly environment. And, I do have higher expectations for MH, because I am paying, like every parent, a lot of tuition for the kids. As a Chinese, I have to say, I am disappointed if I only check their math marks, they could do better! But, I am also very glad my kids are growing into a better self every day at MH. They are curious, caring, and respectful little ones. Those good values will benefit them their whole life. As to their math, I will just sit down with them. They work on their math, while I am doing some reading. Nothing will work better than being a good role model for them.

As to Ms. Anderson, hope she rest in peace. It broke my heart that I have to read her name on the news. My daughter was not in her class, but i still remember her smiling at the classroom door every morning I dropped off my kid at school. It was devastating to lose her, for the school community, for her family, and for people who didn't even talk with her much like me. I couldn't describe how happy and proud I was to see her daughter working with the kids in the after-school program one day. I went to my car and started to cry, because she has beautiful smiles just like her mother.

There is no perfect school in this world, and MH is not perfect either. But, I still believe it is the best school for my kids.

When I think of a school in Canada, this school would be first to came up in my mind. Very lovely school even though I only attended for one day. The faculty consist of the friendliest, kindest teachers who are so welcoming to new students. The campus is beautiful as well, I remembered taking pictures with the maple trees in front of the school. I’m pretty sure they renovated a few years back and built new buildings, it’s incredible. What impress me most is the student body. Some of the most amazing people, so welcoming toward me. They helped me with work and also gave me a tour around. THEY ARE SO NICE. This leads to the conclusion that the school provides good education both in academic and manners. If you have the money, invest for your child to go here. Definitely worth it.

The South Asian couple inspired me, I had the same bad experience, the arrogant racist attitude of the principal was disgusting.

The best part about Mathews Hall is the rich multicultural environment. I am moved to tears every time I witness the profound inclusivity, diversity and comradery in the school theatrical/ musical productions, events and day to day life. My children have had the profound privilege of experiencing and embracing a multitude of cultures through their friends, the annual celebration of light, multicultural day, music, art and dance. The number of countries represented at Matthews Hall is inspiring. Keep up the great work!

We have had children enrolled in this school since the February 2018 and we are extremely happy with Matthews Hall. The children are happy, motivated to learn and want to go to school! The new addition is amazing and the children love the new learning spaces. The school is run by a great group of leaders and the faculty care for and go the extra mile for the children.

The administration are inspiring leaders that listen to concerns and deal with issues that come up. My kids love going to school every day. The overall environment is so positive and full of wonderful people. I can’t imagine being anywhere else.

I've had the great pleasure to work with Jen McKay and her staff for a over the years organizing their trips to Ottawa. The kids are amazing and so well behaved that even our suppliers commented on them and how they look forward to having the future students back from Matthews Hall. I look forward to working with such a great team and taking the students at Matthews Hall on their future educational trips.

My children attended this school. They are great children and we never had any issues. Not knowing why or for what reason, we were not given re-enrollment. Not sad at all as the school is going down hill with the new Administrator. Have heard several other colour families have had challenges with this individual. Not worth the tuition as our public schools provide much more academics and social opportunities for the children.
