I ride on the Daisy medows side, and it is an amazing riding experience and
has amazing trainers, but I had a rather "emotional" experience a few days ago. I was put on a horse who was a little lame, and I felt so bad riding him because he looked so stiff and was walking so slow and I couldn't get him to trot. He was tripping so often aswell. I was so busy worrying that I wasn't paying attention to my lesson and I made an incorrect turn as I was leading the class. This is an amazing riding school and My instructor Pat and stable helper Katelyn are amazing. Although, Pat was away and another instructor was teaching and she looked like she wanted to go home and sleep. She was too busy talking to her friend about her day, that she gave us commands a little too late more than twice. After all the lessons were over, I was waiting for my parents, when she was helping a girl pick one of the horses hooves and the horse was acting up, so she hit him, and it echoed throughout the stable. Me and my friend were shocked (and so was the horse.) this was my first negative occurrence at this stable. Everything else is amazing. The stalls are well kept, the horses stalls are also regularly mucked out, their water is changed daily, and fed perfectly. These horses seen to love their job and everyone that works/volunteers there. The horses are turned out every day after all lessons. Although im not sure how long they're out there for; they really enjoy being housed there. If I owned a horse, I would 100% stable them here! I really recommend lessons for anyone looking for a great barn.

Horrid, I went to try out and see an instructor at this barn about a year ago, when I first entered I was greeted by 2 younger kids who didn’t know what they where doing and rushing around to find the horse, all the horses there where in stalls and are stalled all day apparently. I was supposed to ride. while I was tacking up (unsupervised even though nobody knew wether I was experienced or not) a horse named moose tried biting the person tacking them up a couple times and got smacked in the face about 4 times while they where being tacked up, besides that horse. all the other horses looked miserable. While I was riding one of the horse bolted and the instructor asked if I could ride in front of them to have the horse chill out. the horse was bolting because the rider was leaning on his neck which the coach said nothing about and just continued saying “good job” over and over. I later learned the horses have little turn out and the “turn out” is usually with no other horses in tiny little squares or in an arena. Every horse there HATES there job and looks depressed the pony I was riding was extremely old and had sway back I felt uncomfortable riding them as I was slightly to big for them and they also lacked of muscle. Since this I ended up not going back a second time everyone that has been to this barn talks about lack of turnout for horses and an unethical amount of time in stalls for perfectly healthy horses, the horses are over worked being ridden sometimes multiply times a day every day. Not to mention the seesawing to get the horse “in frame” even though the horses face was WAY behind the vertical.

Edit :To my understanding they have one side of the barn that do lessons and one side that do part boards and then the performance team. I was interested in both the part board and lessons I checked out a part board then rode on a lesson horse on separate weeks. very confused by the comment saying you don’t do lessons as I checked the map and you where the barn I went to, very confused as to why you’d say you don’t do lessons when their are multiple reviews saying you do and Daisy meadows/ mjm has been a lesson and partboard barn for a while now

Very professional staff who have a great understanding of how children learn. Teach by modelling and breaking down into smaller steps. Then use positive feedback and reinforcement to develop rapport with students. Excellent establishment! My daughter loves it here!

Super facility with amazing horses and staff. I have watched the riding school go through such an incredible process of growth and way of teaching that I am proud to say I send many new riders there. You get a super foundation with the Instructors using the EC Rider Levels as their guide to ensure that all basics are covered in the proper order and skill level attained before moving on to the next level. The horses are exceptionally well cared for and the staff / Instructors are wonderful :D. The main barn is amazing. I never worry about my horses and know they are always well taken care of and loved. Walking down the aisle they will give them a scratch and love them up. I am always aware if either come in from a day of playing in the field with new marks (geldings play very hard) or if I need to add or change a feed program with either one. It is a safe and super friendly environment which we all try to provide each other since it is our safe place to be stress free. The front barn is private with some lease horses for those who move up from the riding school in the back barn. We are a big family and that is not always able to be said about horse farms. I have been here on and off over the last 22 years and have loved it each time. The only reason I wasn't there the whole time is physical moves around the country. I have always found my way home!

i loved the barn but i had a few bad times. starting from the beginning i took horse camp there for a week. fell inlove with riding in 2020 after that camp and i took lessons every week. i had to quit in 2021 cause i got placed with a new coach and she wasnt the lost supportive. she was making me overwhelmed and she kept asking me things then saying i wasn’t supposed to do it. she made the entire experience terrible by the time i quit. they where a great barn. and i fell inlove with 2 horses, charlie and i think squishy. but overall 3 stars cause it was a greatt barn!

My daughter has been attending for lessons, camp and stable management. She loves it and has found her passion. Her goal is to teach one day. Very encouraging and supportive instructors. Would recommend DM! 🙂

My daughter has been taking lessons for almost a year and absolutely loves it! Her instructor is amazing with her and never pushes her to do anything she is not ready for! There have been a lot of improvements happening on site over the past year and it is evident the horses are well taken care of and loved! Thank you MJM for offering such a wonderful program!

My daughter comes here for riding lessons as well as summer camp. Wonderful staff and horses. Well cared for. They are constantly making improvements to the facilities. Would recommend MJM/Daisy Meadows if you are looking for riding lessons.
