Don't understand 1 star comments. Called health links about daughters fever, they said ER is a choice. On a Friday night at 9:30 pm we walk in, seen, concluded illness and prescribed medication. Sent us on our way with 1st day dose till we can get to a pharmacy. IMO I wish I could pay this dose as my benefits would cover this expense. My only complaint is the ER office and wait room. It really needs some fixing up. A/C units in windows in winter. Water damaged walls in office, very outdated and in generally in disrepair. While what I see is working. It looks like alot of temperary repairs have become permanent. Please give our front line staff the facilities they deserve

I live half hour away from hospital. I wanted to make sure they could do the fray my specialist asked for. So I called there made sure I talked to some at fray. Told them exactly what I needed. They said yes we can do that. Made apt for same day. Drive there check in. When it's my turn to get fray there's confusion at the desk. I over gear them talking and the person I talked to on the phone saying,"where would it say we can't do that?" I hear "you wouldn't" Then they come to me and say oh we can't do that here. You'd have to go to HSC. So even after calling and confirming I waste 1 hour of driving and gas and still have no xrays.

I was a patient for nine days in March, The M.G.H is a hidden gem of a facility, from the moment of arrival by ambulance until the time I was discharged the staff was outstanding when it came to my care and my questions, so a big Thank you too the paremedics the Dr's The Nurses and support staff, with out you I wouldn't be writing this today.

Tried to get in to have them look at my throat and wouldn’t take me. Basically turned me around and now I have to drive some where else. Very un happy and just want to get looked at and sorted out. Joke of a place

It's a SMALL town hospital which is somewhat outdated (the building that is) the staff do try somewhat but there is room for improvement (they in ways seem to be SMALL town nurses and Doctors) supplies at times you have to wait several hours for them to get that's if they don't have it in stock the government doesn't seem to want to support these small town hospital (but of course it could be the hospital itself that is lagging behind the rest of the system) general you will be better off going somewhere else for more technical and or higher care needs.

The staff are amazing but realistic support from the goverment would make this place better.
