Very very rude teachers, school is fine and it's hard to get your child in there, but if the price is your child's mental health, it's not worth sending your child to that school.

Our experience at Mount Pleasant school has been deeply disappointing and frustrating. While the school prides itself on its strong academic programs, it falls drastically short when it comes to addressing social issues and bullying.

For several years, our child endured a harrowing experience of bullying at Mount Pleasant, but we were oblivious to it. The teachers consistently assured our son that the harassment he was enduring was simply children playing and engaging in friendly interactions. It wasn't until we sought the help of a psychologist that we began to unravel the truth—that our child had been subjected to a form of brainwashing, where bullying was dismissed as harmless play.

From the very beginning, our child faced this manipulation, which allowed the bullies to persist unchecked. Despite our numerous complaints, teachers seemed quick to blame our child rather than addressing the bullies themselves. It was a relentless cycle that persisted for years.

The breaking point came in fourth grade when another student physically attacked our son, resulting in a broken collarbone. Shockingly, the school initially attempted to blame our child once again, disregarding the blatant evidence of the assault. Only when the police became involved did the principal reluctantly change her stance.

Even then, the punishment for the aggressor was minimal—a mere one-week restriction from outdoor breaks. This leniency was inexcusable, given the severity of the incident and the trauma it inflicted on our child.

Our child has never returned to Mount Pleasant school, and we were forced to transfer him to a different school in the middle of the year. While Mount Pleasant may excel in academics, its inability to address bullying and social issues is a grave concern. We expected better from an institution that should prioritize the safety and well-being of its students. We hope the school takes immediate and meaningful steps to address its shortcomings in this regard, as no child should endure what our son experienced, especially under the guise of "friendly play."

I am in grade 6 and have been here for 7 years, this school is cogito, it can be challenging but it prepares your children for life and better prepares them for junior high. they will understand things better using the strategies they are taught. This school also has a lot of other leadership options within the school like clubs in music and art they have clubs for extra art and music, kids can also supervise the kindergartens, grade 1's and 2's I supervise and I love it, the school has a lot more in it than just the program, enroll your kids, its the right choice. However in grade 6 they finish the curriculum 1 month early, and you get a lot of work

Truly a great school! The homework commitment can be a bit taxing as a parent who works full-time with a busy schedule, but it is totally worth it. The principal, admins and staff are very dedicated to the Cogito program delivery and student success.

Very good school! Cogito program is very academic but doable! It may be a shocker for someone who isn't used to getting homework everyday but it's not overly crazy either. As kids progress into higher grades homework load increases too. Again, your kid can do it!! Kids need challenges to make things interesting for them otherwise they get bored in the regular program. The structured learning helps the child to exercise discipline and achieve a high level of academic excellence. There is definitely not much focus on physical activity like sports. But you can surely enroll your child in other extra curricular activities outside the school.

It is a great School, nice and knowledgeable staff, very good environment with hardworking students and committed parents. The program is Cogito and it is academic based school. The homework is between 20 minutes to an hour per night, depends on the kid.
The school moto is "school is for learning not for fun!" So if you want to have fun, not to learn, you better not waste anybody's time.
