I’ve experienced a huge positive change with my son. We came from unfavourable circumstances at another facility and after a few short weeks of being at Mouse and Ru he has been thriving and POTTY TRAINED! He made friends and bonded with his teachers, especially Ms. Jen and Ms. Mel. Staff truly care about your children and are always friendly. You are regularly updated throughout the day and sent photos of what they are learning. Communication is quick and easy. Highly recommend. Thank you for creating a positive space for my son.

We are extremely happy with the school. It is a lovely group of educators and office staff. The children are happy nurtured and provided an enriched learning environment. The children are provided literacy and numeracy play based learning activities daily. There are a lot of staff and a large admin team so there is always someone to answer your questions. The team is responsive. My daughter started at 1.5 years old and she is turning 3 and is thriving. She is happy at school, making loads of friends and likes her teachers. Kayla B is the founder, she has a teaching background plus her experience as a mother of two. She is kind caring honest and passionate about education. Over the past 1.5 year she has been supportive and I trust her with providing a pre-school education for my daughter. Wishing you success in providing an early learning foundation for other children in our community.

We started at Mouse and Ru last year with our now 4 year old and it was a very pleasant experience. Our daughter really took a lot out of their programming and I feel confident that they gave her a great basis for starting school in September.

The staff are all friendly and encouraging and I felt safe bringing her there knowing that she was in their care. If you are considering a preschool, I would highly recommend Mouse and Ru and I hope to use their services in the future!

Miss Wendy and Jamie are exceptional teachers, but unfortunately, the administration misled us about Mouse and Ru's teaching credentials at enrolment. (There’s a video on YouTube stating their Teachers are ECE’s when in fact they are not) They also provided inaccurate information about our son's transition to preschool, causing him unnecessary distress. Additionally, a serious incident with our son's injury was poorly handled, as they failed to notify us promptly. The overall issues with transparency and condescending attitude forced us to leave. Our son is much happier at his new school as are we as parents.

PS. I absolutely adored the Bike-A-Thon event organized by Mouse and Ru! It was such a joy to meet and interact with fellow students and parents, and witnessing everyone's enthusiasm and creativity in dressing up was truly delightful. The event was a testament to the incredible community we have here in Collingwood, and I am proud to call it my home. Thank you, Mouse and Ru, for organizing such a fun-filled and memorable event!

This review is long overdue. We were one of the original family’s at Mouse and Ru when they first opened in March 2022. We had two kids there and have nothing but good things to say. The teachers were so wonderful and the admin and management were so supportive. They provided options for our kids when we had concerns and overall very helpful.

We’ve used many childcare centres before and hands down this is number 1. Inevitably kids will always get sick or have child like incidents which is to be expected but this school deals with it exceptionally compared to many others we’ve been to.

All in all thanks Mouse and Ru for keeping our kids safe, taught and entertained while we had to work!

My experience with this daycare was marred by a constant turnover of staff, hindering the opportunity to build rapport. Despite the commendable efforts of some staff members (Miss Wendy, Mel & Jamie), the lack of consistency in personnel created an unsettling environment. Requests for staff qualifications were met with resistance, and concerns regarding daily schedules and communication were largely disregarded. The focus seemed to be on fundraising rather than addressing parental worries. In was a distressing incident where my child required ER attention, the daycare failed miserably. They at first said it was nothing but a bloody nose and failed to explain what happened when I asked for almost 3hrs . They later said ‘on a second look we think it’s best you come in’. Our sons nose/nostril had to be stitched back to his face!!!! This was hours later. The Doctor said ‘had we come in earlier it wouldn’t have been so bad’. The owner's unresponsiveness and passing off to an unprofessional and rude administrator added to the frustration - there is Huge negligence involved here. Moreover, conflicting accounts of the incident, reluctance to modify potentially hazardous furniture, and a disregard for immediate parental notification raised serious concerns about safety and child well-being. Overall, my impression is that this daycare prioritizes financial gain over genuine care for children, urging prospective parents to exercise caution. They have been reported to the board of education and Simcoe County H&S unit. I imagine their condescending unaccountable response will follow as, in other review responses. This sums up their overall attitude. Maybe even a plug of their ‘charity’ as you can see from their other responses.
