As soon as we stepped foot, we were greeted by a warm, cozy atmosphere perfect for seeking shelter from the cruel weather. The waitress was very friendly and offered us a window seat and hot tea. There was light serene music playing.

The food was nothing short of exceptional. Fresh sushi, perfectly satisfying crisp tempura and the katsu don was piping hot. The pork in the katsu don was succulent and tender, and the sauteed vegetables (onion in particular) were exceptionally flavorful. Presentation was immaculate too.

Praise be the generous portions meant to satisfy us completely! Even the sushi was much bigger than we expected, to our delight. For the rice bowl sushi and tempura, we had to ask for takeout containers.

I should also emphasize how friendly the service was. There were two servers who were very attentive, they checked up on us frequently and refilled our glasses and cleared our dishes as needed. Their energy set a really positive note for us, we had a good impression of the place because of them!

Best sushi in many many years. Of course sushi is generically better here on the West Coast than it is in Ontario, but even so, Nami is excellent. Came here yesterday and had a Godzilla roll, while others in the party had other things, but I also had the spicy scallop nigiri and the hotate (Japanese scallop) nigiri: those were outstanding. Of course we can't get those at home. Has to be fresh, you see. Came back today for more, also spicy wild salmon, which was equally outstanding. And seaweed salad, which I like very much.

Fresh delicious food. Everything was tasty and fresh. A little pricey but worth it. We really liked the food. Service was excellent. Lots of parking available. Will definitely go again.

Recommended by friends who frequent this restaurant when in town. Decided to try it out for our anniversary. Fresh tasting, good quality, and delicious!!! Ordered the garlic butter edamame - yum! Also ordered yam tempura, assorted tempura, chicken teri dinner box (good size!), party tray A (also good size), sashimi, and a salmon don. Nothing was left. Kids and in-laws enjoyed every bite. Service was good! We will come again.

This is one of the best spots to get sushi in Whiterock! The food is top notch quality with beautiful presentation. You can tell that they use the best quality of fish for their sushi. I definitely will recommend this restaurant to all of my family and friends.

A very well-maintained Japanese place with some delicious food! It used to be two-guys sushi, but the same quality of food and great atmosphere is here. I highly recommend their nigiri sushis and gyoza 🙂
