I recently participated in Nolan Riding's Women's Beginner Clinic at Jordie Lunn Bike Park, and I'm so glad I signed up! As someone with minimal mountain biking experience, I was quite nervous at first. However, Misha, the fantastic instructor, was incredibly patient and tailored the individual learnings to each rider. His excellent communication and demonstration skills made it easy to grasp the techniques, regardless of skill level. By the end of the 4-week program, my confidence increased, and I enjoyed the sport even more. The other riders in the clinic were also incredibly supportive, making the experience even better. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking to get into mountain biking.

My 6 year old daughter had an amazing opportunity for a girls Mountain Biking lesson series this spring. It was with a young coach that my daughter adored! She connected so well with the riders. By the end, my daughter was confident, proud, eager to push herself, and really wanting to take more lessons! She came into the lessons with only a handful of experiences riding on dirt trails, so the coach did a great job of meeting her and the other riders where they were at. Thanks to Nolan Riding for this amazing local opportunity, and especially to coach Davina!!

Really fantastic organization with great instructors. I took an adult jump clinic with Ethan and he was fantastic at helping me improve. His input was student specific and recognized where each person was at while nudging them towards success. My 7 year old daughter also took a summer camp and she love it.

I had the great experience of a four-day e-mountain bike ride in the beautiful countryside of south Vancouver Island organised by Patrick Nolan, including bike hire, pick up and return to the Vancouver ferry, an excellent hotel in Victoria and a B&B in Sooke.
The original idea was more touring than mountain biking but Misha was such an excellent and patient guide and instructor, I ended up making the most of the excellent trails and well constructed bike parks to do some much-needed work on improving my technique.
I cannot recommend highly enough the friendly and efficient service proved by Patrick and Misha. It made for a great four-day break prior to a week of business in Vancouver before returning to Switzerland.
If you are tempted, don't hesitate!

I just finished my 50+ Intermediate + Clinic with Sam and he was awesome! Sam is a great rider and also an exceptional instructor. I loved how he explained, then demonstrated, then video'd, then reviewed the video, then provided feedback and then video'd again. He has great energy and was incredibly observant, which gave him great insights on what I needed to work on. More important, he did not overwhelm me with things to work on. He kept it simple and made suggestions one at a time, which was way more digestible for me. I left the course riding things I had never ridden and now have the confidence to ride more even more things safely and in control!

My rating for Sam and the clinic is Five (5) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️PLUS PLUS PLUS!!!

My private lesson with Misha was excellent. He was able to hone in on exactly where I needed improvement and offer actionable advice. He did a fantastic job creating a zone of optimal learning where I was challenged appropriately, but not overloaded. I will be back for more training.

I had a very reluctant 7.5 year old who was interested in bikes but group classes just weren't cutting it (later learning she had ADHD and cannot do group instruction) and got to a point where she was too old to go to most 'beginner' bike classes (she'd be with 4 year olds!). Someone recommended Nolan Riding for private lessons and while we had no plans at the time to pursue mountain biking, the private instruction was 1000% what our daughter needed. Connor knew she needed a lot of patience, encouragement, and was prone to give up immediately when not 'good' (that's the ADHD again), and also that her bike wasn't great and didn't have very good 'features', it was even a bit too small! He worked within all those constraints and was right there with her the whole time and she was off and biking within the hour, and doing some longer stretches by the end of two hours. By the second lesson she was starting on her own, turning around cones, and doing some gentle passes on the wooden boardwalks even. It was really hard to believe.

That was two months ago and she was able to upgrade her bike, and we have biked all the way to school and home which for us includes the EN trail, over the johnson bridge, along wharf, and beyond. We are blown away. We could not have imagined this just a few months ago.

We are so grateful. Worth every penny. Saving to continue with private lessons and hoping to get her into the girls riding club in the future.
