Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience speaking with the front desk receptionist today. She was impatient in answering questions, making me feel embarrassed and uncomfortable. Her tone and body language gave the impression of frustration, as if she were thinking, "Oh my gosh, these people again!"—accompanied by a loud sigh.

I didn’t say anything impolite or unreasonable, yet I believe this role requires someone who is more empathetic, especially when dealing with parents who are concerned about their children or those who may not be fluent in English. From the very first word of our conversation, her negative attitude was evident, making it clear that she is not suited for a position that requires active listening— or at the very least, basic courtesy.

I must inform you that in a new game recently held among the students of the 12th grade of that high school, which is more like a mafia game, students, including my own child, have been involved in this game most of the day and night. Although I do not have a proper understanding of this game due to my age, this game has created division, hostility and strange stress. All students should be careful of attacks and tagging their rivals. Even last midnight in Cleveland Park and Suspension Bridge, a large number of these students, when they should be thinking about resting or reviewing their lessons, took to the streets and chased each other by following each other in cars or running in a frightening way. I do not know whether this is done in cooperation and in line with the high school's recreational programs or is done on its own. But in any case, this game is far from human values ​​and does not have a good psychological response. Students must be stressed and worried the entire time they are commuting to and from high school, even going to the library or shopping, and this is not appropriate for this age group, who are at the end of the school year and whose lessons are more intensive. I ask you and other education officials in the North Vancouver District to respond to the continuation of this game and make the mental and emotional health of students a priority. ‌

The only people giving above 1 star are adults who haven't had to experience or even remember how very little that the education system has to offer. Maybe you should start actually listening to the students and not your own self interest. Some teachers are hidden gems but the system they have to teach according too has completely worn them down.
Time to do better...
