We had our front door replaced by Northern Performance this fall and couldn't be happier. There were lots of options to consider at the showroom, but Jon was great to work with and helped us narrow it down to a door we liked. He came to our place to do the measure and confirm details. The price was competitive compared to other shops we'd visited. The installation was completed on November 7. The installers (Jason and Bill) did an awesome job and the finished project looks fantastic. And there were no surprise extras. So thankful for our new door! Last winter we had puddles of water in the house from gaps in the door trim / weatherstripping and a tread plate that needed replacing. My husband was very interested in a particular door from NPWD so instead of admitting to my husband that I hadn’t painted over the manufacturer’s name enabling us to just replace the tread plate, we ordered the new door… selected the colour, where we wanted the window, selected the degree of privacy we wanted in the window… and door handle.

Northern Performance W&D walked us through the questions we didn’t know we needed to ask ensuring a thorough job well done. They customized the handle and made sure the door would accommodate it. They also raised the tread plate up and angled it to encourage run off away from the house. It’s not so high that you trip on it, but the perfect height to prevent driving rain or melting snow from pooling and draining into the house. I was happy with the experience last summer. Given the crazy amount of snow we’ve had this winter I’m even more happy with our new door.

Approximately 20 years ago, we purchased seven new windows for our home. All are still as nice as the day of installation.
Recently, I was cleaning them banged the release tab, breaking it off. My fault.
I attended the retail office and spoke with Curtis. He and Joel were able to source an exact replacement tab at no cost to me.
That is good service.
I would highly recommend Northern Performance Windows & Doors.
