Hands down, the best place in town to get your skates sharpened! Rick is an absolute gem. My 10 year old son loves to bring his skates in himself and to chat a little with Rick. He knows everyone by name and takes a genuine interest in making sure each pair of skates is sharpened to perfection. His attention to detail is unmatched—he even takes the time to test their blades on the leisure rink ice to ensure they’re just right. Rick is a wealth of knowledge and an incredible asset to the community. If you want top-notch service and someone who truly cares, Okotoks Blades is the place to go!

RICK IS AWESOME!!!!!!
I went in and let Rick know that I was new to skating and that i just joined a hockey team. He gave me a good look, and guessed my weight spot on. Rick then gave me a couple suggestions that would work best for my skill level. After doing his magic, had me lace up and met me on the rink to insure I was comfortable with the profile. You couldn't ask for better customer service.

After getting skate work done at multiple places in Calgary with inconsistent results and poor quality/craftsmanship, we were told to go to Okotoks Blades. The effort Rick put into making sure the profile and hollow was correct was impressive. We have extra blades and make the trip from NW Calgary to Okotoks every month during hockey season.

Rick has gone above and beyond for our kids. Knows them by name, kept up with our “needy” sharpening schedule to keep them going for practices, games and backyard rink fun. Absolute hidden gem. Had an issue where another place wasn't able to get a proper edge on my skates and Rick worked his magic and got them dialed in for me. Will definitely be making him my new go to guy for anything with my skates from now on
