Okotoks Bottle Depot - Okotoks, Alberta

I recently brought at least 15 bags of cans and bottles to this bottle depot and received only $35 for them. When I inquired about recounting the bottles, the owner of the company verbally attacked me. His aggressive behavior was so extreme that he walked and screamed at me all the way to my car.

Based on this experience, I would strongly advise against visiting this place. The treatment I received was unprofessional and unacceptable. It appears that this business is not operating with integrity. I would recommend finding a more reputable and respectful establishment for recycling bottles and cans.

This is the greatest bottle depot! We go out of our way to take our empties here. The staff are incredibly friendly & pleasant - they always have smiles on their faces. I have two toddlers, they always get suckers and high fives which is great! When I visited this morning, the staff actually went above & beyond and unloaded my SUV for me!! Wow! The greatest bottle depot!

I'm sad to see negative reviews. I’ve used this bottle depot for many years, and I have never had an issue. Maybe those with issues should talk directly to management at the time so you can point out the person counting, but because your funds come from a machine, individual fraud would be difficult to accomplish.

If you have an extra 20 mins, go here. They like to scan your cans, Thinking the product is out of province or something to that effect. Told them that everything was bought here in Alberta, but kept scanning. It took alot of my time watching them do this and was late for a event...was ridiculous and frustrating. They never did this before until recent. The fellow kept showing me this sign on the rule about it. Don't care about the rules, it's a aluminum can and should be recyclable. Next time Im in Calgary, I may just go there if this happens again.

The service at this depot is fast and efficient. The staff are very helpful and will assist in picking up bags of bottles from your car and helping you empty them. They always smile at you and seem very happy with this arduous work which is especially difficult on hot days.
It is also well designed with lots of parking and good ventilation for staff and customers.
Definitely the best Bottle Depot that I have ever used!

Even with $50 of bottles, this bottle Depot has a faster turn around than the Tim Horton’s drive through. Friendly staff, clean facility.

We brought 3 full black bags of cans and bottles and 2 litres and they just chucked em behind the counter and gave us $23. Now I'm not hurting for money but comon.. business is business. And I'm not the only person to say this if you read through. Any positive reviews are fake. I'm going to be telling as many people as I can to just go to high river instead. Awful
