Feb 14-Had my 2017 F150 towed to the dealership due to misfire & flashing check engine light. But the vehicle would start.

Feb 17: got a call from service advisor, advising me that the truck needed new camphaser and catalytic converter. I informed them to go ahead with the camphaser but not the catalytic converter. Was advised that I could still have driveability issues if cat converters are not replaced.

Feb18: received an email informing me that additional parts needed replacement: oil pan, shaft seal, axle seal. I told them to go ahead with the axle seal and shaft seal. But not the oil pan as this is all getting to be expensive.

Feb 19: received a call informing me that repairs were all done BUT the truck is misfiring and not safe to drive. And they blamed the catalytic converter. I told them to check the spark plugs and coils.

Feb 20: received a call that cylinder #5 had low pressure and that the truck needs new engine.

March 3: they redeemed points from my Ford Reward without consent

My bill went up to $6,976 for all the repairs that they have done, but still not safe to drive , because all the while what the truck needed was a new engine.

Had they diagnosed it properly on day 1 and figured that the truck needed new engine after all, and replacing the camphaser, catalytic converter and rubber seals would not fix the issue of my truck, I would not be stuck with this unnecessary bill.

As of March 13, 2025, my truck is still in the dealership, since I do not agree with the bill they sent me. I have emailed AMVIC and BBB seeking for assistance.

Massively disappointed with Service Department. I have been a loyal customer of this place.

I had a positive experience interacting with everyone at the dealership and even brought my dog for a visit, which brought joy to everyone. However, my experience with the vehicle service department was disappointing. I brought my truck in at the beginning of the day to fix the start button. They kept the truck for 3 hours, and it seems like they only cleaned the button edges instead of fixing it properly. They called me to say they had replaced the entire button, but the next day, the button was still sticking. I suspect they did not act with integrity and may have only pretended to do the necessary work. They suggested that I had spilled coffee on the button, which I find hard to believe. I've been a loyal customer and felt part of the Ford family. The truck I had before for work was my 2016 Toyota Tacoma that I got in 2018 and had it until 2022 did not have any problems with the push start button. Due to this negative experience with the service department, I have decided not to have my truck serviced at this location again. I took my truck to High River Ford and now my start button is functioning as if it was never broken. I am disappointed with Okotoks mechanics because they said they did work that they didn’t do. No integrity.

I've bought my last 2 trucks from this dealership and will probably buy my third. I exclusively use their service department simply for the service I receive here. I have their service tech Julie Niles on speed dial as she always makes sure I'm taken care of quickly and fairly. For example, with the recent cold snap in the -30's I went to plug my truck in and noticed that the plug was broken. I called Julie an hour before they closed and she insisted I bring my truck in right away to get fixed and convinced a mechanic to stay a bit late to fix my block heater. When I got there I was told that the heater had been recalled and wanted to fix it right away to save me from flooding the engine in the morning and causing damage to the engine. This is just one of the many examples of their service department going above and beyond since buying my first truck with them 6 years ago. Thanks Julie, your help is always appreciated.

Service Staff is good. Sales staff promises and Ford vehicle quality? Not so much. 2017 Lariat with 100k kms has had motor, 4WD system and now transmission problems. Extended time between diagnoses and ability to fix. But please give us $160 to keep the nav system in your truck current, no matter what we told you about updates or implied with your extra aftermarket extended warranty.

The service staff and mechanics go above and beyond to help you out. I had a bad incident with a salesman (he is no longer there and it was rectified) but the service department was what kept me there long enough for sales to make the issue right.
