Being there from G10 to G12, I’m no genius kids, but I went from receiving no awards to making the honour roll and ended up in UWaterloo CS with the Faculty of Mathematics Award. I’m actually grateful for what Olympiads School has to offer, and especially for Mr. Jiang’s career advice—those are invaluable.

Most of the negative reviews are from kids who got really frustrated with class, and that’s totally understandable—we’ve all been in that situation, people. I would sincerely suggest they take a lighter workload to adjust until they feel comfortable taking on additional ones.

Olympiads has overall been a pretty good school. I've taken the science and public speaking course, and I'm currently doing math, science, and debate.

For math, I like how they provide notes, but it would be my least favorite class because it's too quickly paced, and it's stressful. The homework was also much too difficult, and my parents were not impressed with the grades, and I feel that a lot of the homework is not related to class. The Olympiads might say it's to "challenge students", but I have no clue what is in the homework. My teacher is really nice, and answers all our questions if we are stuck.

For science, the teacher is really nice. They teach you things and try to help you to understand. It's a little difficult, but all the things that are on the homework, we actually learn in class.

I wouldn't really recommend debate, because it's either a good or bad teacher. My teacher is really unprofessional and doing these weird voices and acting all strange, and keeps changing behaviors and tones, and it's really hard to focus in class.

Overall, the school is actually pretty trash since the curriculum is way too ahead, the debate is scary and my teacher crashes out too much, and science is mid, could be better though.

It is very difficult to finish the immense quantity of homework, especially because it’s due the very next day. If you have many classes in a day there is practically no time to complete it without sacrificing time for rest, family, or other key aspects of a child's development.

My son is taking math and java courses . The courses are very well designed , problems selection is excellent . I have a BSC in Math and Computer Science and I can guarantee the math courses are among the best I have ever seen . I am comparing against very challenging math courses from US or European countries and the math courses are really good. I see complaints about the difficulty of these courses and some people saying that in school the teachers do not require that much math. This statement is correct since Canada has lower standards than other countries but this should not be a barrier to studying . I highly recommend the math courses to anyone .

I had a great time at Olympiads School/Meritus Academy. I took their physics classes (CAP, IPhO, and Astro), and they certainly helped me a lot - even leading to an opportunity to represent Canada at the IOAA! The teachers were great, the work assigned was very helpful, and I would strongly reccomend any prospective students to sign up!

The courses in this school actually surprises me, the low reviews are not deserved in my opinion as I have fun/enjoyment in the java/coding classes.

BOOM. I am not a parent I am someone who has been taking the olympiads program as a child. I wrote this review as a 5 star before i edited because i wanted to prove that this place only gives replies to 5 star good reviews. And i got one in only a few days of posting this review. This place is painful EXTREMELY PAINFUL. I am probably learning a curriculum wayyyyy above my current grade, i have friends in higher grades than me and they don't even do this stuff yet. Lower your curriculum PLEASE
