I’ve been coming to One Dance Centre on and off for 5-6 years now, mostly to their (very affordable) drop-in contemporary classes. I cannot express how much I love this place and am thankful to everyone that helps run it. As a beginner adult dancer, I feel safe, supported, welcomed, and respected by both the instructors and my fellow student dancers, even when I attend a way too advanced class that I am clearly not good in. So they do a really good job of setting a positive culture for the whole community that shows up. They cover an impressive variety of dance styles for different experience levels and their programming goes beyond drop-in class (even live-stage performances) so you can choose how involved and committed you want to be. The hours let me attend after work, and when I show up, I get to just be myself, and as social or as quiet as I need to be. I’ve had classes with Clara, Shannon, Christina, Madelaina, Sam, Cynthia, Karishma, Nicole, Mike, Jasmine, Dana, Karina, and more. And I have absolutely loved them ALL. They each have/had their own beautiful unique styles and you can clearly see their passion for dance. Going to One Dance Centre has helped me get through many difficult life events and milestones over the years. I cannot recommend them enough.

ONE is such an inclusive and fun community to be apart of! There are a variety of different classes available for people of all abilities. I went from never dancing before to performing on stage with the adult training team in less than 6 months! If you are wanting to try dancing but don't know where to start, ONE is the place to go.

Mike and his studio is not just filled with talented dancers; they are kind souls with big hearts. They are encouraging and tenaciously passionate about the art. I have attended some of their beginner hip hop and contemporary drop in classes and they are fun and welcoming. Even inquired about some custom choreography which Mike was able to piece together within an hour. You won't regret your time spent here. 😊

Good variety of classes from "I'm new to dance! How do I box step?" to "I used to dance but need some time to get back into it" all the way up to "I'm craving a CHALLENGE!" Appreciate the variety in styles and how instructors frame their teaching so everyone can succeed and feel great about moving their bodies.

There's a huge emphasis on respect, having a great time, and building a community of dancers in this studio. The environment is welcoming and dancers that have been going for a long time are quick to help make sure brand-new dancers feel at home.

If it's your first time, bring a friend and have an adventure, but if you're coming alone, don't worry! You're in great hands and new friends await.

Your hand slaps the pavement, splashing waves of rainwater cinematically, to the ooos and aaaahs of the watching thugs. Your dance crescendos in a sassy move that sets the gang cheering your name! The leader graciously admits defeat, slinking back into the shadows. You walk away from the dark alley that night victorious, an urban legend that will be whispered in the dark places of London for generations to come.

Fantastic instructors, great dancers and a very inclusive atmosphere. Don't be afraid to join a class you've never done (even if you've never danced at all) because everyone is so friendly and encouraging that you will pick up the choreography quickly and have a lot of fun while doing it. Highly recommend all the Hip Hop classes.
