I dropped in for a Muay Thai/Jiu-Jitsu class with a friend and had an awesome experience! The coaches were super welcoming and knowledgeable, and the environment was really positive and beginner-friendly. I learned a lot in just one session and felt like I was part of the group right away. Whether you’re new or experienced, this is a great place to train. Definitely recommend checking it out!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Professor “Super” Dave Rothwell and his crew at Pacific Top Team Vernon. I specifically traveled from out of town just to train with Professor “Super” Dave. In my humble opinion Professor “Super” Dave is a hidden gem of human being and Jiu Jitsu knowledge conveniently located right here in Canada. I HIGHLY recommend you check him and his crew out if you are in town! Even if you are not in town, I HIGHLY recommend you make the trip out to train with him and his crew. You will NOT be disappointed. You will be well taken care of and get to train with an old school legend [Professor “Super” Dave] who has probably forgotten more techniques that you know.

Facilities: Top notch and amazing. Large and clean change rooms and bathrooms. Ample seating area for spectators and AMAZING large mat space with top-of-the-line grappling mats, & top of the line wall mats. Most importantly, it is CLEAN!

Instruction and Class structure: The classes I attended where taught by his amazing crew of black belts. Classes were top notch and instructors catered to the diverse experience level in the room. Instruction is well rounded with an emphasis on fundamentals. There is also a diverse mix of fundamentals, advanced fundamentals and advanced techniques taught during class. Regardless of your skill/experience level you are going to walk away having learned something. I also had a chance to meet, interact with, learn from and train with 4 of Professor “Super” Dave’s black belts [special shout out to Ping – for showing me my new favorite guard pass and his AMAZING homemade hot sauce] all of whom where amazing and could not have been more kind and accommodating. Absolute pleasure to train with.

Level of experience: Excellent range of experience & belt levels. Every belt color of belt with various levels of experience are represented on the mat. This helps to facilitate every type of training you could ask for.

Atmosphere: Overwhelming positive experience and very positive vibe at Pacific Top Team Vernon. Professor “Super” Dave and his crew could not have been more kind and accommodating during my visit to Pacific Top Team Vernon.

Professor “Super” Dave: I cannot stress this enough, make the effort to get out to training with Professor “Super” Dave. He is wealth of Jiu Jitsu knowledge and is more than willing to share what he knows to help improve you Jiu Jitsu game. Incredibly gracious with his time and happy help to ensure you learn and improve, so that each time you walk off the mats you are better than when you stepped on them.

Was a visiting blue belt getting ready for a competition. Gym was very welcoming and very clean, with an excellent set up and excellent instructors. While I meant to come in and train with the regular class, I was essentially afforded an opportunity to work one on one with a black and brown belt when they found out I was getting ready for a competition. Would absolutely recommend this gym to anyone and will most certainly return if ever back in town.

My partner started Brazilian Jujitsu classes at PTT some time ago and raved about the classes, the instructors, and the people he participated with. After a while he talked me into trying a kickboxing class. I've never been an athletic person, or one who's felt comfortable in a gym environment. My first class I was hooked. The instructors are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I often attend class three times a week now, no matter how tired you are after a class, you can't wait for the next one!

When I first started with PTT Vernon I was surprised at how welcoming of an atmosphere it was. I had previous experiences at other fitness center's where it felt very cliquey ,but at PTT all the members made me feel at home. Not only did their culture of inclusiveness impress me, but also their policy of making PTT a safe place for all with zero tolerance for bullying. I really liked this because i knew that they had a large following of youth and I think thats a huge benefit to the kids to know that their club is a safe place for them and everyone. Their location is always spotless clean with up to date equipment as well.Lastly, but most importantly, all of the instructors are awesome and have a huge knowledge base. Im proud to be a member of the PTT Vernon family.

I would describe pacific top team as a family oriented facility. It has a positive environment for growth. Meaning if you are new, all the experienced people will take the time to teach you. You'll walk away from your classes feeling like you've grown. The instructors have a wealth of knowledge and experience. It shows in the way they teach and treat their students.
