Today my husband and I enjoyed a 3 hour trail ride across the Englishman river along with 4 other customers. Bev, the ranch owner led the ride followed by Claire an extremely experienced rider. We felt safe at all times with lots of reassurance and instructions when needed. Bev always ensured all horses kept close together during the ride, even during trot and cancer times. So fun !
The river crossing was super fun and easy, the trails were beautiful especially this time of the year.
The ranch horses all very well taken care of and it shows in their personalities.
If you’ve never been to the ranch, I highly recommend coming, if not for a ride, come to see the beautiful property and horses.. OR the Pumpkin Fest early October.
Thanks for an amazing experience!
I’ll definitely be back ?

Beautiful swath of land but not sure why Paradise Acres promised a lot of things for their pumpkin and ponies event, sold tickets online but then did not provide the services. Essentially ten dollars an adult to enter their small pumpkin patch to purchase expensive pumpkins three times more expensive than silver meadows. There was no live music, no complimentary soup , a small table for painting but did not see anything for carving, no pony petting area. The pony rides at twenty dollars each for a hurried five minute loop added up quickly for three kids. Much better value and activities at other patches.

Went to the “pumpkin and ponies festival” which was not a festival at all. There were 2 food trucks and a small pumpkin patch that they charged $10 to enter and an additional $10-30 to get an actual pumpkin. Decided to take an $80 trail ride which we were told would be 45 minutes. We were on the horses for 25 minutes on a walk back to the barns which felt like just taking the horses back to where they were going anyway. Felt like a complete scam and money grab. My friend also dropped her phone on the ride and instead of the guide (who was on foot) stopping to pick it up we were sent back alone on foot through the trail to get it which luckily did not take very long as the ride was so short.

Went for pumpkins and ponies. This felt like a major cash grab. Be warned that the online tickets are only to walk around a rather small patch of pumpkins (and not even to take one as part of the fee!) while the pumpkins for sale are priced at least 2-3x more than anywhere else I’ve seen (even other farms/patches). Once the kids saw and were hyped up to ride the horses, we learned this was an extra $20 per kid. For a short walk around, about 5 min total. The kids had fun but the adults had a bad aftertaste. Also just very disorganized there, with the entry not being available until someone showed up after the listed start time, and several staff not knowing how basic processes worked there. Wouldn’t recommend as it’s set up now, sorry:

Paradise Acres is our favorite place for a family getaway. It is a home away from home - wonderful hosts, a beautiful setting, excellent comfy accommodations with everything you need, and an amazing place to ride and enjoy the company of beautiful happy horses!

We went today for the Pumpkins and Ponies Festival. The positive: the location is serene and beautiful. The staff seemed friendly, for the most part. The positive ends there.
Negatives: Soooo overpriced. We paid $26 for our family. What did we get for that price? We got to walk through a small pumpkin patch that was mostly picked through. That's it. The food trucks on site (a coffee one, food one that was about $18 per meal, and a mini doughnut one) were all overpriced as well. If we wanted to take a pumpkin home it would've cost us $10 for one the size of my palm, $20 for a bit bigger and $30 for one a bit bigger than that. I couldn't afford any so we walked to the horses and watched a mom hand over $20 for her daughter to take a short loop on a pony. Trail rides were $80. I asked what else there was to do and she pointed to the food trucks and pumpkin patch. That was it! So incredibly disappointed. We drove a distance for this and spent too much money for nothing. There was nothing even worthy of a picture. Don't waste your money.

We had a wonderful time at the Pumpkin and Pony Festival. Wow! There were so many varieties of pumpkins! It was fun to watch the kids going on pony rides too!
