I've dealt with multiple municipalities over the years as a contractor and they tend to be difficult. This is not the case with the staff in parkland county. They have been super helpful answering questions and helping us resolve non compliance issues on our acreage.

Absolutely the worst people I have ever had the misfortune to deal with in municipal affairs
Ongoing issues for over a year and no one from a supervisor to the director responds to anything. They totally disregard their own rules and are only interested in relieving you of your property tax to ensure their own salaries are paid.

20.00 for parking at the points at wabamun lake is bloody outrageous. Gouging and profit hungry to be sure!! 5.00 for maintaining would be understandable. If you pay that..shame on you!!

In Parkland County, enforcement officers are routinely seen stopping residents with a frequency that is extreme in comparison to other areas of Alberta. If you live here and you drive, you will almost surely pay what seems to be a mobility tax firmly imposed. The Tri-region's voracious appetite for revenue leans heavily on traffic enforcement and this has angered a growing number of residents. The attack on all of our wallets in the name of safety however, has not slowed down.
