My 84-year-old grandmother in law was tricked by this so-called "charity" into signing up for a monthly debit, being misled to believe it was a one-off donation. After discovering the scam, I reached out via email and called multiple times to request a refund for the unauthorized monthly charges, but to no avail. My next steps will be to contact the bank to dispute these fraudulent charges and report this organization to the elderly abuse hotline. It's absolutely disgusting how they prey on the elderly. Beware and stay away from this organization!

I don't even want to put a star, one of your staff and/or volunteers was participating in a sales/marketing campaign in one of our local shopping centers, grabbing people and physically pulling them aside to try and promote what I can only assume is your scam, also in the process making my partner and her work friends extremely uncomfortable and in the process harassing their customers, Absolutely everyone should stay clear of this company and find another organization to fund.

Absolute scam. No matter how many times I call to complain that my card has been charged without my consent, they tell me I wont be charged any more and a year later they are still doing it. I spoke to them last about a month ago on 137526, they thanked me for my support and promised I would not be billed again and I got charged again a few days ago.

Yes they are a charity and do a lot of good for those who need it but the only thing is, when you yourself need help or need to pull out of donations because of your own financial hardship? They don't stop withdrawing from your account, even when you have pleaded with them countless times

This is a total scam. I had donated once and it has been withdrawing my money every months. Tried calling them , however never reached out. I was not even aware that the money would be taken out of my bank automatically . It was done without my consent.

Over-exuberant sales staff at Werribee Plaza 'doing their best' to harass passing shoppers

My partner and I went to Werribee Plaza at around 2:20pm on 20 January 2023 this Friday to buy groceries. Your kiosk is located between Daiso and Specsaver and as we passed by, one of your Asian salesmen seemed to be overly exuberant. When I directed my partner to another shop, your Asian salesman jumped out and blocked us and shouted "this way, this way". My partner looked confused and didn't know why he was interrupting our conversation. When I politely told him "no", the Asian salesman suddenly let out a strange laugh, as if he was mocking us. By then I was already feeling uncomfortable, but I quickly left the Kiosk.
Unfortunately, when my partner and I finished shopping and returned to the car park, we were harassed a second time by the same Asian salesman on our way back. He saw us from a distance and started making strange faces and when I had no choice but to approach him (it was the only route back to the car park), he suddenly made faces at me and made strange noises. As I passed him, he actually winked at me and whistled. My partner was shocked and said "what's wrong with you" then he stopped. I was so angry that I decided to stop and see what was going on. Almost every shopper, male or female, who passed by him was "passionately" harassed by him. Many of the shoppers clearly looked uncomfortable, but he didn't stop, and some of the female shoppers looked so embarrassed that they were about to burst into tears.

I didn't know much about your organisation before, but after this incident I did some research online and realised that you are a charity organisation that collects donations for girls. However the behaviour of your Asian salesperson at Werribee Plaza was to harass the shoppers under the guise of helping the girl, and smugly consider himself enthusiastic.

SO ironic. Helping girls raise donations on the one hand and harassing other female shoppers on the other.

Staff have all been very helpful and friendly but the process was very disappointing. I was assured I could do my research and cancel before the first payment if I needed/wanted to - the system is clearly designed to prevent that from happening. A charity that has unethical fundraising practices isn't ethical, regardless of how they spend the money.

Steer clear of any of these “sales” people. They keep taking money and then you can’t stop payments, even during a pandemic when everyone is losing their own money. Appears plan international will keep profiting while those they get to help them go into arrears on their own accounts. A nice civil case against them from everyone who has experienced the “used car sales techniques” would really work on these rip off merchants!
