I bought an introductory flight lesson as bd gift to my husband. It was super easy to book, I just called them a week before and the day before (just to check out about the weather conditions). Actually I only payed for it when we got there.
The facility is easy to find, and has some parking stalls. The instructor has lots of flight hours. He showed confidence and great knowledge. My husband flew the airplane for the time ever with the instructor support. It was such a great experience. They also offer scenic flight starting in $50 per person, up to 3 passengers. There is also gift certificates option. I do recommend this experience with them. It is such a memorable gift. You will nail it.

My kids bought me the introductory flight, and loved it! Just a barrel of fun!! The learnin' curve was really steep for 2 hours, and came away with some basics of flying a plane. Instructor Conner was excellent how he explained things, and would certainly recommend him and Principal to anyone that wants to fly.

AMAZING experience. We did the Ultimate Tour and it surpassed all our expectations. Amazing views getting really close to so many mountains, glaciers, alpine lakes and waterfalls. Pilot was very skilled and knowledgeable of the areas we were flying over and made the flight that much better.

Highly recommend this scenic flight - we saw so much of southern BC that we otherwise wouldn’t get a chance to see and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I would never take flight instruction from this flight school. I had a near mid-air collison in March 2025 flying my own plane with one of the flight instructors. The instructor did not call out their position reports, did not use anti-collision lights (landing light), and turned to the left to avoid the collision (Regulations require a right turn). I left a message with the CFI for follow-up and did not even received a call-back to discuss. This lack of professonalism, due dilligence and consciousness to safety is beyond approach.

Wow wow wow!! Husband and I did the magic Mount Baker scenic tour and it was fantastic our pilot Audity (I'm sure it's spelled wrong ...sorry 🙁
She Was amazing we had brief instruction and nice tour when we were up in the sky got to go around Mount Baker and see Abbotsford and Chilliwack highly recommend!! It was nice that we didn't have to pay till we actually got there and was easy to cancel due to weather if we had to

I completed my Private Pilot License (PPL) in 6 months and my Commercial Pilot License (CPL) in 7 months, for a total of just 13 months. This accelerated timeline was made possible thanks to the excellent training environment and the support I received from the entire team at Principal Air.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Principal Air Abbotsford to anyone pursuing their aviation goals. The quality of training, the professionalism of the instructors, and the reliable customer service make it a standout flight school. My experience with them has been incredible, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have trained at such a reputable institution.

Best flight school I flew at by far. Owners are fantastic, planes always clean and well maintained. Great operation. I flew there from 2015-2018 and still draw on what I learned and my experience even now in my professional flying career.
