Conclusion et Recommandation

Beautiful mountain views but that's really all there is. Food was poor in general, head back down into Banff if you want culinary goodness. Hotel rooms are dated, keep to bottom floor as upper floors get very warm at night. Being from central AB I realize how out of the way this location is. I would never host an event at this location. Might work if you're coming here to ski.

The place is nice. There are small an bigger rooms you shoose. Practical and comfortable. The complex have swimming pool, very nice restaurant with lovely views. The staff is helpful and kind. It is located 15 minutes walk to central Banff. And surrounded by trees.

I was less than impressed with my time here. The rooms are outdated and lacking A/C. The beds uncomfortable. The quality of food has come down from previous stays. The service was lacking as well. I ate several meals without being served a drink. This went for breakfast lunch and dinner. The bar tender at maclab was very rude. He refused to grab us a beer as he had to many orders( that came through after we arrived at the bar). try making five drinks from the machine then open a beer for the people standing in front of you. He didn't appear to be very happy to be at or even have his job. The pool and staff that work there were very nice. And its banff.... the views are lovely wherever you will end up.

Excellent location. Less than a 10 minute walk to downtown, and unbelievable views of the mountains (especially from the Three Ravens restaurant). The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy, albeit nothing luxurious. Hotel guests also receive complimentary access to the Recreation Centre-- and let me tell you, it's a full-blown recreation centre-- not some throw-in room with one weight machine in it. Staff are also very nice, and there are a fair number of additional amenities (e.g. fruit infused water in the lobby) to the ones already mentioned, which of course, adds to the experience. Overall, this is probably one of the better places to stay in Banff. Definitely a recommend!

Really enjoyed my stay in the refreshed Lloyd Hall. I thought the decor and room setup were fantastic. The view from our room was great - loved watching the Elk from the window. The only thing that wasn't great was the lack of sound barrier between rooms. The walk down to town was enjoyable - especially along the river. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Came here in November 2017 for the Model United Nations Conference. This is before I became more active on google reviews. From my recollection, they have a really good continental breakfast that is well located right in the national park. It's not very close to the city center but the distance is walkable even in the winter. I felt surrounded by nature and truly was blessed to have experienced one of if not the most amazing national parks in the world. Banff holds a special place in my heart and this location is definitely part of the reason why. Also was the first time I saw the northern lights so definitely a treat of a spot.

On a work conference, we were supposed to have roommates however through a loss of reservation I wound up with my own private suite. It is always clean, view is good, and no major complaints other than distance from other campus buildings.

The view could use some revitalization. From my room, I look at wing 2 and a tree as I am second floor on the inside which was a bit of a letdown.

An important note would be the inability to change temperatures in the rooms which can be frustrating as I am naturally very warm. I needed to leave windows open in -20 just to be comfortable. Other than this, I am impressed.
