Avis

For basic first aid, students have to lie on the carpet face down. The carpet is the most cushioned I have come across, but I don’t like to have to lie where others walk. I think at Trauma Tech, they had mats that studentsstudents cleaned at the end of the day. The printed WorkSafe BC textbook was in black and white. I had previously gotten one in colour from Trauma Tech although I wouldn’t recommend Trauma Tech. The office is upstairs through a corner entrance. It’s nice that they provide complimentary coffee, but if you want real milk or cream bring your own because they only have creamer.

Salaam was very informational while also kind and funny. Keeping a high level of respect and professionalism with everybody. She made extra simulations; so the day was very engaging and made material that some might just read off the page easier to remember for testing and future possible use.

I recently completed SFA with Marie, and it was a fantastic experience. She was highly knowledgeable and explained everything clearly. Marie made the training engaging with real-life examples and hands-on practice. I appreciated her patience and approachable nature, ensuring everyone felt confident. The course was well-organized and thorough. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for Standard First Aid.

I opted for the First Aid and CPR course here. I never write a review for such places. But i have to write one because of the learning environment at this place. I never thought it can be soo fun while learning something. Heather was our instructor for the course. She is such a gem. Very good personality, jolly nature and makes her students comfortable. Today, I completed my certification. She taught us in such a good way. Very fun to be in her class. If you guys ever go to ProSafe School and take this course, surely look for Heather. I just love her. She is more like a friend who cracks jokes and makes her children calmly understand everything. Lastly, I want to add one change to Pro Safe School; the front desk lady or the receptionist, I am not sure of her name. I think her name is Aradhna. She was very rude and not professional at all. We had 2 days of classes. The very first day, she was rude to my friend and on second day of my class, i saw her yelling on one of my classmate and he was a senior in age than hers. That is not at all acceptable for me. I request Pro Safe to look into this. I am giving a 5 star to this place just because of Heather- the ProSafe instructor.

Recently took the flagging TCP course and got certified. I passed the exam however the exam was unnecessarily difficult. Only 5 of the ~14 passed.

Why put challenging or trick questions for something like flagging? It doesn't make sense, they don't help with anything. Yes flagging is of course dangerous (work zone risk factors, work zone hazards etc) and can be a challenge like many jobs out there. Everything can all be trained and taught on the job, as the book states with; risk assessments, traffic control plans, pre-job meetings, tool box talks. Some of the wording of test questions can be confusing (lol and this doesn't happen on the job you always ask your boss questions and clarify instructions)

The knowledge is only effective when you are working as a TCP and doing your readings at the same time.

There is a lot to memorize for a course that lasts only 2 days. I highly recommend finding a book on basic TCP and getting a head start a week in advance.

I personally just needed the certificate for company policy and proof for work safe BC. I will only be doing temp work and relief for breaks at a construction site.

The instructor says things like I told you this in class therefore you have no excuse to get this question wrong. LOL you told us many important things in class and we are trying to remember all of it in those 1.5 days.
