My 83 year old Aunt on oxygen was caught up in a scam, the details of which are somewhat irrelevant but which I'll note later for information purposes only. Telus was able to help her but, due to scammers having gotten involved in the middle, they needed to protect my aunt by seeing her in person to verify her and rectify the situation.

The reason I wanted to write this review is because, in the midst of an INCREDIBLY busy store, customers lined up, phone ringing off the hook, clients buying new packages and phones, others dropping off different communication devices for programming, etc., the staff on floor that day were beyond exemplary.

Seeing that my senior aunt was on oxygen and frail with a walker, they asked the customers they were with if they could, while on hold with Telus head office for their first customer, try to help my aunt in between in order to get her in and out before her portable oxygen depleted.

The staff (in particular, Tommy Hobbs and Michelle M) were so courteous to their existing customers, so attentive in acknowledging every other customer that walked in so they knew they were aware of their presence, and to my aunt, never speaking down to her, never making her feel foolish, never speaking in complicated technical terms.

The magic they performed in that branch today was rich with old school, community caring service, truly heart based consideration and more.

A non-driving, country living, aged, fully oxygenated senior citizen had a proverbial royal red carpet rolled out for her, but, to all that I saw and heard, so did every other customer.

In the end, Telus is still completing a fraud check on the incident before they can refund my aunt the $1,400 charge plus contract, but that has everything to do with the scammers and Telus, definitely not Ralcomm and Michelle or Tommy.

I would not hesitate to refer anyone to Ralcomm, Michelle M and Tommy in particular. They gave it their best shot on their end to help get us once step closer to resolution sooner if possible.

Some people love their job, absolutely REALLY love answering dumb questions about my iPhone and some people absolutely just go there for the paycheck,dislike U bothering them. Unimpressed with the service, was there for 2.5 hours getting new phones set up and NOT ONCE was told that the plan was sharing data with my son. Only found out when I was notified that I was being switched to slow data because of how much he had used.
When I was in the week before that, I was given wrong information about my phone plan which sent me on a wild goose chase of finding the correct information myself.
They either aren’t trained well enough or don’t keep up on new information because it’s rare that it’s a simple thing to deal with this business and Telus. Very unfortunate when they are the Telus dealer in town.
