I Attended this years teen academy at Ross creek, i had gotten a scholarship from my school, wrote 2 letters and finally got a bursuray fund for my trip.. i didn’t have a great experience, as I am a pretty skinny girl, and the food they would serve to us was slop. They told us onto the website and our package that we would get food from breakfast lunch and supper… but not me, i told the council that I was a super picky eater and wont eat it if i don’t like it (i wasn’t being rude) they ended up feeding me apples and a bagel everyday for the next 4 days , until I finally “called my mom” after begging them to let me stay in contact with her (your not aloud any contact with the outside world) they came to an agreement that if i had written down a list, of what I wanted they can go to the store and grab it for me. Instant relief. I started writing down my list, and I can also provide a picture below, and I handed it into my counciler, as time went buy, supper was coming up on the 4th day, they said they had a bag waiting for me in the foyay, as I opened the bag it was 3 packs of mr noodles a box of crackers. And 3 chicken noodle soup. No variety no nothing. And if you thought that was bad, they had promised our students here that we would’ve put on a show for our parents at the end of the day (our last day there) and always keep them updated weather that was on Facebook, Instagram, or via email. (Pictures and videos of us) just to make parents know that there kids are safe. Absolutely nothing, not a single post, or even a email saying how the kids were thriving, i will never come to this place again…I called up my mom after I had ENOUGH and I finally went home…realizing I wish I never spent so much time into something for it to be nothing I expected. AT ALL! It is great how they have somthing like this, just prepare yourself if your taking your kids here…and make sure ur kid isn’t a picky eater ?

Our 2 girls ages 8 and 9 attended a 5 night sleep-over camp this summer all the way from Vancouver, British Columbia. The Ross Creek Centre for the Arts exceeded all of our expectations. The experience was empowering for all of us. The staff and the camp leaders were kind, generous, soulful and creative. Our kids have their art creations proudly displayed. We are very grateful.

This is a truly unique experience. What a tremendous community and provincial asset! Outdoor theatre around a campfire is incredible. The adaptations , production, and acting are national in calibre. After attending you will ask yourself...why didnt I do this before? Another great productionn season Ross Creek! Many more!!

I went on an overnight class trip here in Grade 5, they fed me chickpeas... turns out I'm very allergic to them and I couldn't walk or breathe but they didn't let me call my mom and so i had to sneak the chaperones phone. I ended up in the ER for hours and had many tests done. I basically starved at ross creek because they underfed us, and the activities we're boring and barely educational. Beds we're like sleeping on a concrete slab and we froze in there because may nights get cold. Wasn't even that fun. Don't recommend.

This is a really impressive concept. The centre offers outdoor performances by day and night, has camps for youths, artists in residence, and caters to all forms of the visual and performing arts. The region is indeed very lucky to have this resource, built by an inspiring family over two decades ago and is critically acclaimed. I've not seen a place like this. Truly inspiring!

Attended a wedding ceremony and reception here. Gorgeous tapas and evening dessert table was amazing, vegan catered tapas!
On site catering for dinner was very slow. I wonder if we were the first big meal they have catered for? Because otherwise the staff did a wonderful job.

The camp was fun, however the staff promised all of the campers and our parents that we would receive CD's including photos, recordings and videos of all of the projects that we created during the camp and we never received them. The staff kept saying that they were working on these CD's and that they would be mailed soon but it's been three years so I doubt we will ever have those important records of all of our work to show our families and friends.
