This shows the true understanding of business and how expensive the cost to train apprentices. It gave us the ability to buy high end tools and equipment for our staff. Thanks Darrel for the funding especially during a slow par of the season.

I knew someone recently out of high school who was trying to get an apprenticeship started and I wanted to indenture them into my trade to work with me at my small business. Someone who'd already gone through the process of hiring new apprentices let me know a good way to get started was to get in touch with an institute like Rupertsland. It was as easy as calling the Rupertsland phone number and telling the person who answered what I was trying to get done. They passed me onto Darrel who was familiar with all the ins and outs of what paperwork was needed, deadlines to meet, who else to contact about what etc etc etc. He helped us navigate the available government programs that were a major benefit to both me and my soon to be new apprentice. He followed up with us during the process to make sure we were covering all the necessary steps. I'm not sure if things would've got off the ground if he wasn't there to help us.

I can't say enough good things about the experience and I'm very appreciative Rupertsland was there to do what they do. All the extra efforts Darrel made helped get a new First Nations person into the trade and helped out this small business.

My daughter is metis, 17 and graduating from high school this year. We went to the Metis Nation of Alberta office in early March, and they sent us to Rupertland Institute. We have been trying to get in contact with Rupertland Institute for several months regarding scholarships and educational funding. The office was never open even during the hours posted on their website. I finally reached someone by phone and was informed that the office is closed and everyone is working from home. I was given a name and phone number to contact, but I have left several messages with no response. The deadline for the main scholarship that I was trying to find out about has since expired, and I can't find any other helpful information.

Our kids are Metis and they are receiving books every month until they are 5 years old.

My son applied for funding for post secondary online with them and he has still had no response he had to find another funding source if he waited for them he would miss his first year of college

Very disappointed in my interactions. They make you jump through hoops and the communication is very poor. As a Métis student In need of assistance, I will not be reaching out to them again.
