An absolute must-do adventure. Special thanks to our guides Diego, David and Michel for hosting our group of 8, making us delicious meals (including an epic pineapple upside down cake!) and providing great company. They went to great lengths to make sure we were comfortable, safe and shared heaps of their knowledge on the areas we went to.
We came away seeing a huge amount of wildlife including orca, sea lions, bald eagles and humpback Whales to go with the incredible scenery. Really could not be happier with the trip, and we’ll hopefully be doing the Mexico trip in Baja in the next year or two!

Ive been on many outdoor trips both with and without guides. Sea kayaking adventure is the perfect blend of outdoor sight seeing while being able to relax and not worry about the major things(setting up camp, cooking, cleaning, ect.) this allows you to truly enjoy the island and take in all there is to see. Ours guides Zoë, Mario, and Becky were outstanding. Fun, knowledgeable, and professional these three really helped make the trip all it could be. Keeping tabs on were the wildlife would be and plotting our paddles accordingly so we could see orcas, humpbacks, river otters, and so much more!

Amazing experience! We were on the 4 day Orca Basecamp tour. Our guides, Aleta and Lyndon were on point with everything, very knowledgeable, hardworking, and positive. Saw orca 4/4 days including a small pod swimming right through our base camp incredibly close! Also saw bald eagles, porpoises, dolphins, black bear, harbor seals, sea lions, and a lot more that the guides pointed out. It was a trip of a lifetime!

Everyone in our tour group agreed this adventure surpassed all our expectations. The guides all had individual areas of expertise and were incredible sources of marine knowledge, cultural sensitivity, paddling safety and technique. They were also a lot of fun. Claus, owner and Renaissance man, was dubbed the orca whisperer. He has worked hard to craft an environmentally conscious lodge using the latest sustainable technology with surprising perks like radiant heated floors. The beds were so comfy. Ken was the delightful and amazing 5 star chef. Every day had different paddling destinations with options for hikes or other sightseeing activities. We couldn’t believe how many whales, orcas, eagles, otters, and gorgeous skies we were able to see!

I had an amazing 6 day five night trip with Sea Kayak Adventure! The guides were outstanding, keeping us safe, preparing amazing meals, and navigating all the ocean tides and currents. I hope you be back one day.

Guides Diego, Becky and Zoe showed us the fantastic world of Johnstone Strait. Orcas, sea otter, humpback whales, white sided dolphins, Dall porpoises, Steller sea lions, harbor seals. Diego helped us understand the importance of these amazing animals and how they evolved with their environment.
Great paddling, wonderful food, thoughtful tent accommodations. Trip of a lifetime.

The blackfish waters trip is the first fabulous trip I've taken with sea kayak adventures. The equipment was terrific, the weather cooperated, the wildlife appeared, the camps were comfortable, the food was excellent and plentiful. But above and beyond, our guides, Diego, Becky, and Zoe made this trip the best. They were attentive, helpful, knowledgeable, and fun. I hope to take another trip soon.
