I enjoyed the course material. I learned a lot plus i had flexibility to learn at my own pace. I would have preferred to see some video scenarios just to make the course but more interactive as the read can be hard on your eyes and brain. Secondly it nice to have some video just to factor different learning styles. Overall the course was great. I had ample time to complete it.

A detailed and smooth online course! If it is possible to take the course in person it would be beneficial, as the online course does not do the group activities to promote a better understanding - although not necessary, the hands on information would set you up for success in the field. The practise quiz's were clear and provided detailed explanations surrounding the answers and where to find the information to study if you made an error. They throw in some trick questions, but nothing dramatic- they want you to succeed and learn. If I could recommend one thing it would be to print the SSIA and the Course Manual (link to both provided with the course), it provides so much useful information and I really appreciate that it checks in with your understanding before and after the section. Does the course take 40hrs? No. It really doesn't. But you can bet you'll know the information inside and out by doing the quiz's a couple times, and re-reading sections you feel you could better understand. Good luck everyone!

The Course was great and informational but I didn't like how I had to buy a audible text to Speech program online.

For $100 I expected something like that for this course but I made do.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this company and felt compelled to share my story to warn others. Due to a sudden family emergency, I must return to Newfoundland and am unsure if I will be returning to Alberta. I reached out to the company via email today to explain my situation, hoping they would understand and offer some assistance or flexibility.

However, I received a response from a "Student Experience Advisor" named Gaelle, who completely ignored the urgency and sensitivity of my situation. Instead, they simply told me I could continue studying while dealing with my family emergency in Newfoundland – a response that showed zero empathy or understanding.

I replied again, resending my original email to reiterate my circumstances. The second response I received was even worse: they asked me to pay an additional $55 to regain access to my course.

If you’re looking for a company that values its students and provides compassionate support, this is NOT the one. They only seem interested in squeezing more money out of people, no matter the situation. If you don’t want to get ripped off, stay far away from this company!

I couldn't ask for a better course, it has hundreds of pages of work and will train you with everything. I plan on coming back next year and I plan on getting a few more courses

Regarding the security guard course, I just think the practice tests could've been a whole lot more challenging, I found it a little too easy being able to review the given summary to study since the tests were just too repetitive in terms of difficulty.

The course is easy to understand, but it's not a very modern interface. Plus most units are in imperial instead of metric.
