I absolutely love the opportunity for counseling
But I felt as a minority that I was invisible

I hope this goes to a good way to move past it
I'm not angry, more so shocked and heartbroken

I had to deal with the aftermath at my first counseling session and then this
So of course I felt horrible for days
Sure they listen because they have to
Gaslighting, passive aggression, microaggression, and displacement about my concerns, which I thought was a good thing
The fragile nature of knowing I am decreased as a human being for being a minority + being myself does not help
I felt like they never met another person like me before, especially from my heritage background
And social conditions
I think they're so used to seeing women so beaten up and so broken that they are surprised that I am a wonderful human being
The tone in their voice when I speak up says it all
It reminds me as a woman. I'll have to walk on eggshells
Just like when I was being abused
They could benefit from having more hospitality in their tone, encouraging, and supportive to us women
I wasn't being negative or rude actually. I was pretty excited to share my contributions in a good way
Sad to say it broke my heart and I end up spending the next couple days crying
You can't make someone care when you can't change people's views but doesn't mean that I'm a bad person
It just means after all the training, sensitivity, education, and techniques. Techniques the approach is still not there even in 2025
