My daughters attended Serendipity two years ago, and I would definitely recommend the school to family and friends. I was really impressed with the school’s play based approach to learning, and the environment was cozy and welcoming. The teachers are warm and patient, and we loved the variety of activities and outings that were planned. I liked that parents have such a large role in the school, and enjoyed my time as a board member at the school. My daughters were more than prepared for Kindergarten, and they graduated from Serendipity with confidence and a love of learning!

Both of my kids have attended Serendipity. My youngest still attends. I absolutely love this pre-school and the fact that they utilize play to learn. They are always doing cool crafts and getting outdoors which is important to me. The teachers are amazing and great at what they do. I’d highly recommend this preschool.

When it comes to preschools in Okotoks, I always recommend Serendipity to all families I meet. All of my children have attended here for multiple years. They have the best location with lots of outdoor green space, a very warm, welcoming environment, and lots of opportunity to learn through play. The teachers are the most personable and loving team I have ever met in a school setting. Parents are made to feel important and the teachers put the effort in to get to know you on a level we did not experience at another preschool in town.
We feel so lucky to have found this little gem and are so thankful for the teachers here who gave our boys such a magical and exciting first experience of school.

Both my children attended (youngest currently still does) Serendipity Preschool, and truly enjoyed every minute. The teachers are patient and genuinely care about each child.

I cannot recommend Serendipity Pre-Kindergarten enough! My 2 children have attended this amazing preschool over the last few years. The teachers are not only fantastic, they are patient, caring, and are truly invested in each child. The engagement and communication with parents has exceeded our expectations. The children learn through play which was really important for us when choosing a preschool. We absolutely love that Serendipity is in a house setting with a beautiful yard. It has made the preschool experience for my kids warm, inviting & comfortable. To witness the smiles on my children and other childrens faces as they enter and leave the school leaves me in awe. We are going to miss this preschool and the wonderful teachers when our time at Serendipity comes to an end.

The longevity of Serendipity Pre-Kindergarten is significant - there's a reason this preschool has thrived for over 45 years!

My daughter and I absolutely adore Serendipity! I love how the space makes you feel when you walk in the door, its so cozy and comforting. The teachers are the most lovely humans ever, who care so deeply for each and every child they teach. Having the opportunity to go to school for the day with my child on her "special days" has given me so much insight on how she spends her time in the class, and taught me so much on how to support a preschoolers learning. Its no wonder this school has been a staple of the community for so many years!! I cannot recommend this school enough!!

Both of my sons attended Serendipity Pre-K between 2020 and 2023, and I recommend it wholeheartedly. The play-centred learning approach is effective and joyful, and completely age-appropriate. Each child is loved and celebrated for who they are, and the educators truly know them. The commitment to daily outdoor play, both structured and unstructured, is wonderful; elements of other forest-school or nature-based preschool programs are very present at Serendipity. Walks and field trips, and the swim and gym program, are really enriching and exciting for the kids, as they begin to get a bigger sense of the world around them.

Miss Darcy and Miss LeAnne are a wonderful, experienced teaching team and the classroom runs seamlessly. They’re prepared and creative, and the communication with parents as a group and individually is incredible. I felt that they were truly partners in raising our kids, and trusted them completely. Miss Lauren, the administrative director, brings new energy and organization to the role, and is thoughtful and collaborative.

The preschool is very well priced and is excellent value. The not-for-profit model, with a parent board, means that everyone has the same goal - a great environment for early learning. The administration also makes every effort to leverage grants and other funding opportunities to benefit the school and manage costs for families.

I found the parent community to be very welcoming, unpretentious, and warm as well. We remain connected with other families and think fondly of those shared moments at pick up and drop off.

Both of my children arrived at kindergarten with an understanding of how a classroom runs, and a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy - they were ready to learn and are thriving. I highly recommend Serendipity Pre-Kindergarten in Okotoks, Alberta.
