Morgan Johnson is the design expert at The Design Loft, Simcoe Building Centre, Bracebridge. Morgan is absolutely the best person we worked with while building our new home. She is extremely professional, honest, knowledgeable and made certain every detail was perfect. We can't thank her enough for all of her input with respect to design of our kitchen and all other cabinetry. She went the extra mile to guide me with colour choices of furniture, flooring, carpets, you name it! She even assisted me with the entire house including the outside colours! Thank you Morgan, for always being available to answer questions, to be on site when necessary and for making sure everything was completed properly, right down to the very smallest details. Our home looks so beautiful, thanks to you and your attention to detail. We are so grateful. Five stars for this gal!

I have never before going here not been able to attain a price list on single items on the spot, I had to wait for a reply from the manufacturer, and due to the fact that a I was bidding on a quarter million dollar project, so was patient, and decided to give it some time as it seemed like there was an effort to go above and beyond, and provide a price for the entire job. Come Friday 5 days later, the manufacturer had informed me that he had sent Michelle her prices, so I called in and she was not at work to forward the e-mail. I went to a smaller outfit, and had my 3 separate quotes done and printed onsite within an hour. Horrible due diligence, lack of knowledge on their own products, GREAT looking shop though. Might be o.k. for someone ordering bricks, or 2x4’s, but good luck getting pricing on steel roofing products.

We shopped at Simcoe for materials to build our deck at our cottage. We found the prices to be quite reasonable. All the staff were extremely knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. They were very patient in answering our multitude of questions. Would definitely recommend them for your building needs!

Great experience and help in planning our dock. Even after all of our changes to our plan they kept updating our order. Everything was delivered on time and the entire process was very smooth.

We ordered brick veneer for our fireplace surround. We called to find out where is was as our contractor was ready to install it. We had ordered it in advance and was told it would be ready for pick up in plenty of time. When we called we had to leave voice-mail with Michelle. We called back numerous times and she only returned our call to say the stone was in Barrie. She would not return other calls to let us know when it would be in Bracebridge. We finally called the Barrie location was able to pick it up there. Terrible customer service.

Out of town builder using this company for tens of thousands of dollars of material, tools etc. When their booked delivery was going to be late we went the day before to pick up thousands of dollars worth of the order to keep the jobsite from stand around twiddling our thumbs. The older woman(shipper/receiver?) in the showroom was giving me HUGH GRIEF for me trying to get thousands of dollars of our PAID MATERIAL because its all on one invoice!? WHAT? I worked retail for over 30 years in the construction/building industry and have NEVER heard of a lazier excuse! AND I have never felt so belittled by an employee and the sharp-tongued lashing 'Karen' was giving me for wanting to pick up purchased products! This woman is awful and should NOT be speaking to public! The other young woman with the ponytail was a charm, courteous and professional.
Unfortunately 'Karen' in the front has forced me to give the lowest possible stars, even though i wanted to give LESS, while the young man operating the fork truck loading my concrete should deserve 10 STARS along with the nicest, friendliest 70 year old yard help gentleman, who was also the nicest, friendliest and most professional.
I will NOT be returning to this store for any project.
