I attended this school for about 10 years through elementary and JH, and this school is pretty good ngl. Sure, maybe there was some bullying, cyberbullying, racism, homophobia, ableism, etc., but that's the same for any school. The great thing about this school is that they recognized these issues and were actually trying to do something about it at the staff level, at the student level, and at the parent level.
Plus, the staff was understanding and mindful of why certain kids do certain things. The staff's attempts to help students on a personal level were usually effective, and it was always obvious that they were all trying to help for the good of the students. Of course, there were still things they could do a bit better on—and some teachers might annoy you a little bit—but this school is generally great, especially if you're a parent with English not being your first language. They embrace diversity.
For all kinds of students, they had JH and elementary extracurriculars, like clubs, sports, and celebrations such as Filipino Day. They also had smudging done sometimes. Tbh, one of my favourite parts of this school was that kids with so many different backgrounds and interests all studied together in the same classroom. Although this school was accepting of LGBTQ+ students (which was evident by posters, little flags, and it being mentioned in a few presentations we had to sit through), this Catholic school also effectively reflected the Catholic identity and how everyone should be treated with respect, like how God would want us to act.
Any problems at this school are no worse than any other school. The only difference is that this school actually tries to help!

In short, the school is very sigma.

as a student here, i'm mostly enjoying my time here. sometimes bullying and cyberbullying has occurred, but the staff deal with it accordingly and pretty swiftly. i'm glad i joined this school 8 years ago. without it, i wouldn't have had such good english until now. you've helped me manage my adhd and asd, and to also have good grades. being in grade 7, thanks to these teachers, i am an honours student. thank you to all the teachers who helped me, their names are:
mrs pedersen.
mrs harback.
mrs williams (my current teacher).
mrs langlois.
mr girard.
mrs comba.
and more that i can't name. in terms of extracurricular acitivies, boy oh boy does this school have a lot to offer. k-pop, sports teams, wellness groups, anti-racism. this is one of the few schools in edmonton (in my opinion) with the best junior high options. all ea's are nice, the principal is AMAZING, and the custodian is also very funny.
in short: this school is very good, go here if you're in elementary and wish to enroll for grades 7-9. optional classes aren't an issue here. you'll have plenty to choose from.

This school is full of racism, homopobia, etc they make it extremely hard for kids with autism to even make friends they do not care about your black children if your not asian, white or extremely pretty then you will instantly get bullied. As I black girl I have been bullied almost everyday for just my skin colour and I know many people in my school who never have gotten respect for there culture and instead racist "jokes" that they never ever seem to laugh at.
