Bought 2 premade items rice wraps and hummus. The hummus was fizzy and gone bad and the rice wraps were dried out and disgusting. So disappointing for the price. I won’t be back.

Today I witnessed an upsetting situation at the store that I feel needs to be addressed. It was Monday, July 28, and there was a long line at the checkout. One elderly customer was clearly struggling to bag her groceries, and the cashier—an older woman with straight0 long light brown hair and glasses working that shift—stood by without offering a bit of help.

It was disappointing and frankly frustrating to see. A bit of kindness and assistance would’ve gone a long way, especially when the line was moving slowly. Many customers noticed the lack of effort and compassion. In contrast, the younger cashier who often works the till is consistently helpful and pleasant—proof that a better standard of service is possible.

If this store values its customers, especially seniors, I strongly suggest providing better training or placing staff with a more customer-focused attitude at the front lines. And if the store continues to understaff during peak times, opening more cashes would help ease the stress for everyone.

I’ve always loved Smiths and everything about it, we usually go to the one in the Valley but decided to go to the big one yesterday. Everything was great as usual except for the cashier. She was one of the most miserable people I’ve ever seen as a customer service cashier. It was an older lady with blonde hair and bangs. She didn’t even look up once, barely said two words, and just general attitude towards me and the others she served before me. I understand everyone has bad days but if others are being kind, you can also be kind… it’s your job.
