I highly recommend Jenn Wolsey as a vocal instructor to anyone looking to take voice lessons as she is amazing at what she does. Her lessons are very personalized, and she works with each of her students to help them reach their goals. While other instructors may tell their students “no, that song isn’t a good choice for you” with no explanation; Jenn will break it down and explain why certain pieces are more difficult for certain voice types. She is very patient with her students, especially when to them the word practice is a 4-letter word. She will take on just about any genre of music her students want to learn, whether it is opera, musical theater, jazz, country, rock or pop. I am very fortunate to call her my teacher but also a good friend.

Jenn Wolsey is an amazing instructor!! She is extraordinarily patient and complimentary. Jenn certainly shows her vast knowledge and experience in each lesson. The lessons are personalized and very instructive. I learn something more each time I have a lesson and that has been over 2 years now.
I am very comfortable with how my voice sounds now compared to when I started.
I recommend Jenn to anyone of any age, she has a great sense of humor and I believe she can do great things for anyone.

Jenn has developed a high level of music literacy and skill from her formal music learning. However it is her innate ability to reach her students where they are, and her true desire to see her students grow, which makes her an truly amazing instructor and human. She always has a smile on her face and enthusiasm for each student who comes through her door. I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing her share her gifts over the past ten years and without hesitation I recommend her to any person wanting to learn more about vocal pedagogy, for fun or professional purposes. It is rare to find an instructor this flexible in style of learning or goals of instruction. She gives her students the confidence needed to give their best. Thank you Jenn for being such a consistently inclusive instructor. It is evident to me that you live what you speak. You are a wonderful person and we’ve been so lucky to have you instruct voice lessons for accredited learning and leisure throughout the last ten years. Thank you!

We currently have 2 of our children attending Songbird Vocal Academy taking voice lessons with Jennifer. I would say both children have a love of singing but were definitely nervous to do formal voice lessons or sing publicly. Jennifer has been wonderful! She is so knowledgable, our children have learned and grown a ton, yet she is very gentle in her approach and made them comfortable from the very first lesson. Our daughter gained confidence to sing in front of over 300 people in a few short months! I highly reccommend Jennifer and Songbird.
