Was in contact with this place back in January of 2024 with a lady named Lynn. She was great on letting me know how the PPL program worked. She told me there was a small wait list ahead of me but they would be caught up in a few months. Lynn had retired so she passed me off to a new girl named Lauren. I was told if I came near end of summer I would be let in. I had moved there with them telling me that they are sure I would be able to start the program in mid September. I went in to do a discovery flight with the belief I would start the program right after. After I paid for the discovery flight they had told me they don’t have room yet and I am looking into the new year. I asked to speak to the manager because it was super unfair that I had moved there specifically to do this through them. The girl at the front desk told me a manager would be in touch. I called and emailed multiple times that week and still have yet to hear from them. Super disappointed in this place. They strung me along, took my money for the discovery flight and never helped me out. It’s now March of 2025 and they still haven’t got in touch with me. Pretty disappointed. Not how I would run a business.

Excellent flight school. Completed my private license here. Currently working on my commercial and will be doing my multi IFR after that. Very knowledgeable instructors, glass cockpit training aircraft that are very well maintained, safety is this schools number one priority. I attended two other flight schools for short periods before I decided on Southern Interior Flight Centre and I can honestly say they are the best flight school in British Columbia. Not only will you receive industry leading instruction, in great aircraft, the school also has deep connections in the industry that will help us students network to our first jobs. If you want to be a professional pilot oneday, this is the only school you should be considering.

I did my PPL and part of my CPL with SIFC. The instructors here are well trained and capable. The staff, particularly Lynn, Mark Heinzlreiter, and Scott, are always eager to help out. My instructor (Dave Romanick) was A+. They even worked with me to make my excessive commute (from Revelstoke) jive with bookings. If you put in the work to your license, they will put in the work to help you get there.

I took the CAD program at this school, it was an absolute joke. They are basically just after your money and dont care about their students. You won’t get proper instruction and you will hardly get scheduled to fly. They say the program takes 2 years but it took most people in my class 3 because they didnt have a plane for anyone to fly for half a year. Avoid this place.

I haven't been to any other flight school, but I can guarantee you this is definitely among the top 5 worst flight schools in BC. If you wanna lose more than 15k and learn nothing this is the place to go to

The website doesn’t specify the cost of ground school so I emailed asking. They emailed back asking if it was for a PPL, which I said yes. Then I was emailed the flat fee but no further details. I asked for the total cost including materials and was told that I should just call in because it would be “handled more efficiently”. How about you put clear info on your site, and just MAYBE you could have the person receiving the “info” emails actually provide help to potential customers.

When I’m looking to pay money to LEARN I want to know staff will be helpful and this is likely indicative of further problems. Bringing my business elsewhere.
