I’ve been a member of quite few gyms over the years but Speed Mechanics is by far the best facility I’ve been to for anyone who wants to train properly. Khyl the owner is welcoming and re- assuring no matter your age or fitness level. I was definitely a little nervous about going to Speed Mechanics as they do have high end athletes training there but everyone is welcoming and encouraging, basically they want to see you reach whatever goals you set for yourself. I have John as a trainer and he is next level good, best trainer I have ever worked with, knows how to push you and make it fun and really cares about helping you achieve whatever your end goal is.

My son loves going to Speed Mechanics with his sports team. They make it a fun yet challenging experience - and I cannot believe how strong he has gotten in just a couple months! We will continue to use Speed Mechanics into the future and would highly recommend their services.

I always thought of myself as not a gym gal. It wasn’t easy for me to take that step towards that. I did and Khyl was so welcoming and my trainer Nick is so knowledgeable and patient. I feel so much stronger in a short time. Such truly kind people. I highly recommend going to Speed Mechanics and also Continuum for extra treatment if needed.

Love Speed Mechanics! The facility is top notch but the key to training with them is the integrated physio/trainer approach. Alex the Physio got me fixed and Alex the Austrian created a perfect strength program. Backcountry skiing here I come!!!!

I'm a little torn on this review. I really liked the trainers and I like the new spot. I bought a package deal with them but when sold the package deal the lady didn't know a whole bunch of the product. I then found out after the holidays that I was unable to use the remaining workouts as I had a 6 week time frame to complete that I was unaware of.

The training session times were changed from 6:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. which didn't work out for me. This was also near the holiday Christmas season were they closed shop for a couple days. So I phoned after the holidays to book the last training sessions. When I phoned again in the new year they informed me that my training sessions expired.

I try to explain my situation but they said they couldn't do anything for me. But then they recommended a different products that doesn't have a time expiry date. They have a good thing going there but need someone to really do a better job of selling the products and managing new clients. Even a phone call to inform me that I have a week left on my schedule would have been great. At least it would have give me a chance to use up the last training sessions.

I'm not faulting them for the situation the package deal is what it is but some communication because the packages are not cheap. Also if they said I know you lost five to six days of personal training we can work that into a monthly deal I might have signed. I just feel it wasn't fully my fault for not being able to attend classes after you change times.

We've been accessing Speed Mechanics for the past four months and they have been excellent. I've never seen a facility with so much modern tech. You receive immediate feedback on every rep to ensure your lifting safely and efficiently. The coaches are very professional and knowledgeable. I'd recommend this place for anyone in the GVA or on the peninsula that's looking to get the absolute most out of their workouts.

Speed Mechanics has been an incredible fit for me this offseason. First off, I love the athlete vibe in the facility. Everybody wants to improve their sport performance and athletic ability no matter their age or level. The convenience of getting each part of my training done in one location is perfect. I've never had the luxury to get my throwing in on one side and then walk over to the other for a full lift. Most importantly, I can't say enough great things about the entire staff. Khyl and his team genuinely care about our development progress and are willing to go above and beyond to help us learn and apply exceptional insight in the right direction. Anthony has always been an amazing coach and mentor in my eyes. He has a special ability to communicate with players and bring the best out of them. We're blessed to have such a fantastic facility right here in the city.

There isn't a facility in the city that can offer a more comprehensive athletic training program than Speed Mechanics can. Combined with expert and professional staff, Speed Mechanics can truly offer any athlete a first class experience using sport science, well structured athlete development plans, and top rated equipment. Although it has a very strong baseball presence complete with a batting cage, pitching mounds, and not to mention an ex-MLB player heading this department, Speed Mechanics is a fully multi-sport facility including athletes from grassroots to high performance to national to Olympic level. If you haven't checked them out yet then you are truly missing out! Opportunity is knocking at your door and in our own backyard. This place is amazing!
