Misti was my midwife for my Summer 2023 baby. I can’t express how lucky I was to have her as my midwife. An unexpected pregnancy, early sick leave at 20 weeks, and so many questions asked. Misti was great throughout all of it, while I was a basket case of emotions. Misti and Jenna delivered my daughter at the St. Albert Hospital and it went great. I have chosen to be one and done but I definitely recommend Misti and all the midwives at this lovely clinic.

I've had a great experience. I had Tara as my midwife, she's very knowledgeable and has lots of experience. This is my 3rd baby with her and I highly recommend her. Anyone at this clinic I would trust! If your feeling unsure about midwifery care, this is the group for you. You will love going the midwifery route.

I had the pleasure of having Caitlin as my midwife and she made me feel safe and supported through my entire pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum journey. I felt empowered to make decisions related to the delivery experience and liked that I was still able to deliver at the hospital as I felt most comfortable with that option.

I think people have an impression of midwives that it is not based in science and everything is very “granola” but that is absolutely not the case. The experience was so much better than my previous one with an OBGYN and the perfect balance of science based medicine and caring, personalized support.

I highly recommend Caitlin to anyone starting their pregnancy journey.

I was randomly thinking of my mid wife today and realized I never got the chance to express how amazing my experience was in 2021/2022
My sister referred me to the midwifery and Misti was my midwife. My experience was great and I felt really acknowledged through my whole time pregnant and 6 weeks post post partum. They make sure your needs are met and make sure your comfortable in decisions that you choose. I had a home birth and I couldn't express how great my experience was and so grateful fot the wonderful team.

I was lucky enough to land Misti as my midwife after having a really unfortunate experience with another midwife early in my second pregnancy. I can’t say enough good things about Misti and the SGCM team. Misti is a wealth of knowledge and reassurance, offers a ton of prenatal education and I felt supported regardless of my decisions regarding newborn care and breastfeeding. I appreciated her ability to lay out the benefits and risks of all procedures and felt empowered to make informed choices throughout my pregnancy. I gave birth at Lucina with Misti and Jenna and loved how much more relaxed the environment was compared to my previous hospital birth. My baby had shoulder dystocia during delivery and Misti responded calmly, confidently and without hesitation to get him out safely. I would recommend her and their team 1000 times over!

I cannot express my gratitude and thankfulness for Spruce Grove Community Midwives! I was blessed to have Jenna and Caitlin- a student midwife - as my midwife and it was honestly a life-changing experience. I know this sounds over the top, but going from a hospital birth with a OGBYN to a hospital birth with a midwife was a completely different experience. I went through my first pregnancy very ignorant, i.e., just doing what the doctor said and after the birth - I knew I did not want to experience the birth of another baby that way again. What I experienced with Jenna, it’s black and white and I am so thankful and proud of my birth story and I know I couldn’t have had the birth I wanted without the support, wisdom and knowledge Jenna and Caitlin carried. Midwifery care fit so much better for me as I wanted to be heard and take control of my pregnancy and birth. I couldn’t imagine going with another midwife if we get pregnant again. They are highly recommended - you will feel seen, heard and get a knowledgeable midwife that takes time to hear you, answer with a great wealth of information any questions or concerns you have and will be there for you with 10 PLUS YEARS of experience to deliver your precious baby. So thankful for my experience!
