Avoid this hospital at ALL COSTS. My mother in law went into emergency with severe head and neck pain, confusion, loss of balance, difficulty speaking, etc. They told her she had a headache and sent her home, where she then had a stroke. She has lost her home as well as her ability to walk, move the left side of her body, or take care of herself. We have to sell her home and move her into an assisted living facility that will cost over $2,200 a month. If this hospital had done a simple CT scan, she would not have had the stroke and lost her independence and life as she knew it. This hospital ruined my mother in law's entire life. All they had to do was a CT scan, and they would have seen the blood clot that was cutting off oxygen to her brain. These are the most incompetent, careless medical "professionals" I have ever come across. I'm sure there are some workers here that are good, but unfortunately they weren't the ones on staff at the time my mother in law went in. The people who sent her home have no business practicing medicine in any form. A CT scan is a very standard and obvious test for someone that came in with her symptoms. They should be ashamed of their lack of education; they are ruining lives, not saving them.

Wish I could leave no star! Took my daughter there on Wednesday 3:30 in a mental health crises and wanting detox was told a mental health person 9pm got into a room again was told mental health would come talk. Seen doctor took blood work 11 pm no mental health nurse still. Doctor says blood work good , off you go ! Turned away a 19 year old girl saying she wanted and needs help to get clean and no help at all . While in waiting room a lady was falling asleep , hard time breathing almost feel out of her chair , I told the desk, so didn’t another senior apparently, no one came to check her or help, my daughter gave. Her a pop to help I offered to walk with her . So in the end of the 8 hours waiting . I did meet some amazing people who had each others back ;)even tho the staff did not

My husband went in for surgery and it took a little longer than normal about 5 hours and a few hours in recovery. The staff and nurses were exceptional and Dr. Mathers took the time to explain his recovery and convey the details as to why it took a little longer. I have been to many hospitals in major cities and the US and Camrose exceeds in compassion and caring by far. It’s wonderful when people take the time to console you as I can imagine the challenges that they face in health care. I am so very grateful for their support.

I've spent the last two days here visiting a relative, so this review is from a visitor perspective not a patient viewpoint. The hospital is clean and tidy. I love all the art on the walls that brings some cheerfulness to the mostly white walls. Decor is tasteful. The staff are friendly, though busy. There are lovely little lounge areas all over for visitors, with a few patios outside as well.

I attended the Emergency Department where I was treated by Dr Moedt. The nursing and supporting specialty teams were competent, caring and provided impressive care. They worked together like a well oiled team. Thank you

I had hernia repair with Dr. Fletcher at the Camrose Hospital. The staff were exeptional, competent, friendly and answered all questions. I was anxious as I had never had any surgery ever in 72 years, but their solid team gave me assurance that I was in good hands. Thank you to Dr John Fletcher and the staff of this great hospital. A courtesy phone call the following day was also much appreciated. Well done!!!

Nursing staff in the hospital proper are fabulous. Avoid emergency if at all possible (20 yrs experience going here.) Also, the irony of the framed land acknowledgment hung on the wall by emergency vs the attitudes and opinions of the staff towards indigenous people is next level.
