I cannot say enough wonderful things about Steps Ahead Dance! My daughter's love for dance has blossomed incredibly since she started taking classes there. One of the standout qualities of Steps Ahead is the remarkable instructors. Their kindness, patience, encouragement, and support have made a world of difference. They not only taught her dance but also helped her grow in confidence and self-expression.

What an amazing dance studio everything about steps ahead has been a wonderful experience. My daughter has been dancing with them for the past 3 years. I can’t say enough good things about the teachers the students it’s parents a wonderful family of strangers who become friends. the final show that they put on is top notch everyone worked so hard all year along. It’s an absolute treat so much hard work goes into every part of it. I would highly recommend this as a dance studio for all of your children . Xo

One of the best decisions we ever made for our daughter was choosing to enroll her at Steps Ahead. Quality instructors and instruction drew us to this studio, but what we also found was such a warm supportive environment for our daughter to learn and grow. It has been wonderful to see our daughter's confidence grow over the years, and the hard-working attitude she has developed at the studio, has carried over into all aspects of her life. At Steps Ahead, there are opportunities to participate in festivals, competitions and exams if you choose, as well as group trips out of the country where the dancers have incredible opportunities to perform, and participate in workshops. The end of the year show is amazing!! We love the fun family atmosphere where the dancers encourage one another, and have always appreciated the faculty being so accessible if ever we needed to chat.

My daughter has been dancing at Steps Ahead since she was 4 years old (she is now turning 12). My shy timid little girl has now become a strong confident dancer who feels apart of a family. I particularly love that dancers can enjoy a fun class or two, or can be challenged and take part in exams, competition, and other performance opportunities if they choose. The year-end show that all Steps Ahead students can take part in is phenomenal and not only shows the quality of dance offered at Steps Ahead, but the bonding experience for dancers backstage is just as special. I find the faculty at Steps Ahead easy to communicate with and I appreciate that parents are often asked to give feedback. My daughter is inspired by all of her teachers at Steps Ahead; we are truly lucky to have such creative and talented role models who genuinely care for their students.

My two daughters have danced at Steps Ahead since 2014 and they have loved every minute of it. The teachers are fantastic, the choreography is outstanding, the costumes are fabulous & the studio is Vancouver island's best. As a parent, I have appreciated that both of my daughters who love to dance, have flourished in their confidence , artistic expression & technical skills towards exams, competition work and performance. Every year when I watch the the end year performance, I am reminded that these aren't just teachers, they are artists. I am touched by the community spirit and how evident it is that the dancers are having fun!

My daughter has danced with Steps Ahead for the past 9 years. This has been an exceptional experience for her. She receives high quality instruction from very skilled and dedicated instructors. She has participated in dance competitions, RAD examinations and travelling abroad. The year end recital is consistently engaging for the audience and exciting for the performers. As a parent, I value the caring and supportive environment of Steps Ahead and appreciate the many values and life skills my daughter has attained through her dance training. Most importantly, my daughter has always loved her experience with the Steps Ahead family and looks forward to the time she spends in the dance studio each week. Steps Ahead instructors, Lorraine Blake especially, helped my incredibly shy daughter grow into a confident, graceful, skilled dancer. It is professionally run, preparation for RAD exams is exceptional, and the annual recital is absolutely stunning every year. My daughter has enjoyed both learning important skill based routines and the chance to travel and perform out of country. There is discipline, enjoyment and encouragement - what more could one want from a dance studio? I highly recommend it.

My son has been dancing with Steps Ahead Dance for 3 years. We found the studio to be very welcoming. The instructors are professional, creative, skilled and supportive of their students.
Last winter I participated in the adult dance classes at Steps Ahead and thoroughly enjoyed them.
