Stettler Farmers' Market is a regional event that brings in local farms and growers to the Stettler Agricultural Society building every Tuesday between 4pm and 7pm. The market features some traveling merchants as well, such as meat providers from Camrose and fruit vendors from British Columbia.

The market is open just 3 hours (4-7pm) on a weekly basis during the main spring and summer months. This means the vendors have a strong shopping venue because of the limited availability of the market. Going to the market today, rhere were indeed local farms, and also fresh produce from local Hutterite colonies as well.

Aside from the produce there are a few vendors who are local, but regailing other wares, such as Tupperware, home care products and more. There was also one vendor with baked goods.

Generally, the traffic and the crowds were focused on the produce. The prices were, however, not comparable to local grocery store produce which sells for considerably less. For example, ears of corn sold for about the equivalent of $1.17 each (6 ears for $7) at the farmers market , while being priced at just $0.49 at the No Frills just 1/2 vlock away. Inspecting the corn, they seemed equally sized and fresh.

In general, the prices at the Farmers' Market seemed more expensive as a rule. The assumption is that quality and freshness would make the difference, but I wasn't able to see that from cisual inspection.

All the people at the market were kind and it wa a pleasant, if busy, experience.

We went to a New Year’s concert. The ladies who were doing concessions did an awesome job. The sound of the concert was extremely echoey. Great place to hold an event. Just need to work on sound dampening to knock down the echo.

Pretty decent. Lots of vendors and quality stuff. A little on the higher pricing but everyone worked hard to get prepared. I look forward to the next market.

The new outdoor arena is the best that I've seen in I don't know how long. Grounds are clean and well looked after.
You can tell the Ag society takes pride in their grounds

Nice facility. Enjoyed a great Stampede breakfast there courtesy of Town & County of Stettler. I get to plenty of Calgary Stampede breakfasts every year which are great but in all honesty, I have to rate Stettler's fantastic! Thanks to all the Councillors & Admin staff who put on such a great spread, the meal was perfect!

I do farmers markets here on Tuesdays. Great location, loads of fun vendors, great variety of products so definitely recommend.
