You're open same hours as people are at work. You're closed on weekends. Smart. You should open later in the day and close in the evenings when people are off work and have time to come by to RECYCLE. No wonder no one cares about recycling when they can't.
Change your hours to promote more people recycling. And open a few hours on the weekends when people are redoing their houses, cleaning or yard work. You SHOULD be open on weekends.

The way the recycling centre is set up now is awful. Before you could dump your entire container ito the bin and be done. Now you have to shove each piece of plastic individually through a small rectangular window. If the bin is getting full you have to fling it so it hits the back of the bin otherwise it slides back out with other people's plastic recycling. The metal bin is an open front so tin cans slide out onto the ground when you dump your cans in. It is enough of a pain to separate all your recycling now it's an extra pain to bring it to the recycling depot.

This was without a doubt the WORST recycle center I have ever been to. The take it or leave area was filthy with nothing but garbage for donations and piled up everywhere. Obviously not monitored. The bins are all outdoors and spread out, so inconvenient and disorganized. You have to walk up and down steps which are so dangerous. They don’t even take plastics anymore, I suppose that could be market related. Check out Cochrane and Okotoks, their setups make it a pleasure to do your recycling. The one in Strathmore was just a pit. I feel for the residents and the town should really be ashamed.

I'm still giving 5 stars because of the staff and how well the yard is organized and because of the take-it-or-leave-it section. This is a really good feature. However, like other people here I too wish it was open on Sunday's. Wed - Sunday would work a lot better for the majority of people instead of Tues-Sat

Stupid hours, they use to be good being open Saturdays, but now Mon-Fri 9-5 when everyone's at work. Don't know who thought that was a good idea, but they should be replaced.

The recycle yard... Or, if you are a creative parent of 4 who's also a student.... The Mall. Where your children can come get whatever they want.
This place is awesome and a great resource for the community. I appreciate all folks who bring and take from this place. Thank you.

Honestly this is the lamest hours ever mon to Friday 9 to 5 no Saturday so can't get rid of the unwanted stuff for the whole winter for what ever reason they seem to think that's helpful for people who work regularly during the week maybe if they took Tuesday to Saturday it would be more beneficial to family's who have regular work week
