The indoor bathrooms were all closed so outhouse only. This is not acceptable for disabled people as they are not accessible. A big gust of wind blew the main video screen and the bottom restraint straps broke loose. I was sitting in the section next to it and it flapped in the wind for about ten minutes before they cleared the section. They did not stop the program but asked us to vacate the section so we missed the running with the bulls. The screen had a big tear in the bottom of it about two feet long and three panels in the upper left went black. They lowered the screen to ground level. I felt it was handled poorly and being forced to leave the section and missing part of the event ruined it for us. I guess it better than being hit by the broken video screen or the straps.

Amazing Chuck Wagon races and Rodeo shows, great displays of skill, both man and horse. Lots of food too. Only disappointment is there isn't much for kids to do, no rides and such.

First stampede/rodeo/bull riding experience. I wish I've bought my cowgirl hat before we went to the stampede. Anyway, it was so much fun! The commentator knows how to keep the event lively and not boring. Tickets came with drink stubs but there were also food trucks on the stampede grounds. Lot of porta potties and they were clean.

Came here for the Strathmore stampede whilst visiting the Canadian Rockies (a 2 hour drive from Banff). Loved the rodeo - perfect blend of size (not too small or big), easy parking, shaded stands, events, food, timing. Recommend a visit if you are in town early August.

One of Canada's best rodeos. They have everything from Chuckwagon races to live shows to rodeo events, a carnival and even a Running of the Bulls. They even give the participants red shirts to wear. Lots of food and drink options including a large beer garden. Plenty of parking. Kid friendly. It's a good time.
