My wife recently interviewed for a French teaching position at a Surrey Muslim school. We are new permanent residents in Canada, and we were excited about this opportunity. However, we were quite disappointed with the recruitment process. During the interview, my wife asked a simple question about whether they provide a contract upon starting, as everything discussed so far had been verbal. The interviewer responded in an unprofessional manner, saying that 'money is not everything' and reminded my wife that she was not the only candidate.

It's concerning that a basic request for a contract, which is a standard part of any professional employment, would be met with such hostility. Contracts provide clarity on responsibilities, salary, and other important conditions, and it's only reasonable for any candidate to ask for one. This experience has left us questioning the professionalism at this school.

I hope this review helps others who are considering applying to this school to be aware of the challenges they might face during the recruitment process.

I have spent 9 years in this school and I’ve got to say even though because of the school size some things were hard, this school has always been an awesome school whether it’s about the teachers, syllabus, Islamic culture and religion or even friends I really enjoyed my time in this school.

teachers are delusional and barrely get paid their always grumpy n doin too much your child is gonna get depressed cause of these bcma schools parents please listen and just enroll them in like quran class at a different insitute rather then this

My daughter has been going there since kg I wasn't sure in the beginning but in the last three years what a transformation in the school , this principal is amazing, the school showed amazing improvements past few years. I recommend highly.

A BC Muslim School Association bus ran a red light at 58th and and 144th on Monday May 17th and almost hit me- I had to swerve into the oncoming lane to avoid hitting him .When I called to report it - they didnt care and never even asked for the license number - Thankyou for compromising my safety and those of the kids on the bus and not even having the courtesy of a return call

Today I went to Newton library and students from Surrey Muslim school came there their teacher sat on the sofa and she treated the students very rudely. I belong to India we can't accept this and of teachers behavior there then how can she treats the students here very sad to see all this
